So, last year I ordered 100 buttons and was planning on doing 150 this year, however that isn't an option. I think 250 is way too much. Has anyone here ordered a different amount? Is there a way to order a custom amount or do you just add a couple of the preset amounts together? I don't want to do that as it feels like a waste of money since I'd be getting the more expensive cost.
Covet: Blain put his text on the edge last year. It's easy to read when looking at the button from the side. But if you're putting them on a wall or really flush with something like that you'll have trouble. But I don't see that as being a problem and it worked well for Blain's buttons.

I think if you e-mail them, they'll give you a quote on 150.
Ok, I'll be passing out the button button fo sho'. I verified with Pure Buttons that they can put the text on the edge. They said to put "the baseline (or ascender) of the text is about half way between the solid and dashed line."
So without further ado, here are the buttons I'll be ordering for this year.
And just for funsies, I made this one as well, but I don't think I'll be ordering it this time around...
(Bleed is included in this one, so once printed it'd be cut down a bit.)

It looks good, but the text is a bit messed up. It seems really aliased, I'm not sure how that will affect the printing.
I noticed that after I posted that one that I posted the wrong saved one, I didn't post the most recent one of that design, so ignore the little text mess ups and the coloring on the text cause the most recently saved on has all that fixed. My bad >.<
Not a big forum person (for now...), but hope to use this as an excuse to break out of my shell and meet crazy awesome folks.

For those who have interest - I spoke with eye_shuh today in regards to a vehicle for the buttons which will be presented to Gabe and Tycho at one of the Q & A's. I think she's decided on how the buttons will be displayed. For anybody who wants to be involved, she'll be doing the first bit of button collection at the pre-PAX Dinner. After that...well, she'll have to tell you, because I don't know where she's going to be.

Don't worry. Some of the other Buttoneers are not going either (Myself and The Boyfriend included) More than likely you will see Buttoneers throughout the three days!
If not, then you can find them after the Final Round of the Omegathon outside of the Center. The side where you can see Cheesecake Factory.

May I ask what happens if we are not going to the pre-PAX dinner? My boyfriend and I can't make it so will i still be able to get and give plenty of buttons to people? (including the set being presented to Gabe and Tycho possibly?)
Absolutely. The pre-PAX Dinner is just one of the spots we'll be gathering buttons. You will have ample opportunity, no doubt about it.
And I don't think it will be that hard to notice a lot of the buttoneers. Last year I know that a lot of people were wearing the buttons they collected throughout the day as well as a large number of their own so just look for the people with lots of buttons.
By the end of Sunday I had attached all of the buttons I had collected so far to 4 lanyards I was wearing. It was pretty heavy.

Also, while Angel177 has been so graciously helping me make my main two buttons, I have become addicted and decided to make myself a third as a bonus button.
As you can see, the text got too light when I warped it to shape the edge. Problem is, I only have basic image editing abilities since I have to do it using things running in a browser (curse you, macbook), so I was wondering if someone could help me get the text darker while keeping everything else the same.
