Does accepting a challenge take you to that game? I've been getting quite a few but they've always been in the middle of turns.
E: Nope, it doesn't. Sorry to all the people I've been flat out declining.
I think the challenge is still in your queue, you just don't get pulled out of your current game.
Here's a good example of a view things in this video. First there's a machine gunner in cover with a wide open space in front of him, turns into a nice big killzone. Also, my guy down on the bottom is doing an excellent job of drawing the attention of the red guy's three dudes, I do this by popping up for a second or two, then crouching for a second or two, then popping up again. Be sure to use your focus and ignore if the situation warrants it!
Xaviar, I'm at a wedding at the moment. Will be here til tomorrow afternoon.
If I can get it working on my fiancée MacBook, I'll make my turn tonight after the reception. But no promises, unfortunately. I've been examining all the architecture at this mansion I'm at and wondering how to assault various rooms.

One of the biggest things I can suggest is using your own guys to pin opponents in place.
What I mean by this is sending a guy out in a clear line of fire (where you know an enemy is looking), then having another guy (rifleman or sniper, usually) pop out and kill the enemy while the enemy is still taking aim. You don't even have to sacrifice your guy, either. Just send him out far enough to attract attention, then pull him back. The time it takes for the the enemy to readjust and fire on another target is plenty to kill them first.
My guy that gets shot kept the attention of two rifleman, letting me pin them in place as they aimed and fired. Then my second rifleman was able to come around behind one guy and the rocket soldier blows up the other pinned guy (who was firing, but didn't have enough time to kill my rocket soldier).
Think of it as a reverse suppression fire; instead of you shooting the enemy to keep them in place, you let the enemy shoot at you so they can't move.
That repeated standing/crouching trick is very similar to the repeatedly steeping out from behind a wall and baco into cover trick in LSN. Of course the answer to that in LSN wae to blow up the wall they were using to juke with. I wonder what the best way will be to handle it in this game.
the more i play, the more I hate how they implemented turns, oh, 3 people challenged me yesterday then fucked off on the first turn, so now I have 3 games of nothing that will take 8 days to time out if they decide to never play them, taking up a portion of my total 20, greaaaaaat

Is it just me, or is the way this game allocates points after a win/loss busted? I just had what was probably my best game yet, and got -60 points for my trouble. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-IKIiT8Fno&feature=channel_video_titleMy enjoyment of this game isn't tied to the arbitrary numbers I receive after a win but come on...

Give 'em a day or two, especially considering server issues. And hopefully these situations die down as people start to figure out if they're really into the game or not.

That video said 60 though. Did it show up -60 elsewhere?

My match history lists the score as -60. It's also worth pointing out that iv'e won games and gotten the proper amount of points for them, and lost games that still gave me points for some reason.

Yeah, I take out a sniper in this video with my two machinegunners doing exactly that. The first one runs out in the open drawing the sniper's attention, while the other one takes aim and starts firing before the sniper can shoot him.
edit: his top sniper would also have taken out my sniper, but I did the stand/duck dance to keep his attention.

The score on the match history is relative to who started the game. If he challenged you and you won, it'll say -60 because he lost that much.

So if someone challenges you to a game directly, from the online list on the server, there's no way to decline right? it's just like "welp we're throwing you into a gametype you have no idea how to play, nor want to play, have fun"
Someone should compile a list of FS names and stick it in the op. Also, which server are we playing in? Texas 2?
As the title of the thread indicates, we're on Texas 2. I'm not at my computer and I won't be until sometime in July, but at that point the OP will get a massive retooling.
Can rockets not directly impact people? Only walls?
Because I was playing a game where it looked like my rocket went straight through someone without exploding.
Indeed while it does suck that rockets can't hit people it is a good thing to note that if you duck you are able to shoot cover. Nothing is more embarasing then being happy that the rocket you fired is gonna kill your opponent until you watch it fly right by the cover then over some more cover then off the map.

My last uploaded vid is actually a pretty good example of this:

Still here if anyone needs it!
Also: is there any way to launch grenades through windows far away?
I can think of two ways, actually:
The same, if you have rockets.
Or grenades.
Or ignoring them. They only want attention.
Why I fear the ocean.
