Why reroll? Just don't use rocket launchers. They're garbage. Go to a New U station and respec into melee or tank and you'll be much better off as Brick.
So, a friend and I have been playing a co-op game with Brick and Roland, and... his rockets don't seem even slightly underpowered to me. I mean, he's not one shotting anything, but his rocket launcher does a little more than my epic Hunter's Shotgun, and has a similar fire rate and clip size. What exactly is the issue?

Knoxx is the best, then Zombie, and finally Moxxi. Moxxi is best with friends and is not really for loot or xp. Pretty much just for +2 skill points and for playing Firefight in Borderlands.
Are dazing talents worth having for solo play? I'm playing a rogue Mordecai right now, and there's a 3rd tier daze talent for Bloodwing. Also, does Bloodwing just not scale well? Because right now when I call him out, at least 5 dudes die.
For Lilith, absolutely.
For Mordecai, if you are specced Birdman then daze is only useful versus bosses. Mobs just explode.

Till you get to Knoxx...then yes. Dazing + quick recharge + birds of Prey = life saving

Mordicai is probably the strongest in the original and zombie expansion. After that Lilith takes the top spot in pure power, easiest to solo Crawmerax, and Roland catches up to Mordicai.
From Original to the end of Knoxx I'd have have to rank the characters at level 61 with the bonus skill points from Moxxi
Lilith, Roland/Mordicai, Brick
Mord and Roland tie because Roland really comes into his own when his turret and his combat skills balance out while Mord remains Godly when you get good revolvers/repeaters for gunslinger or Sniper rifles. Bloodwing remains a focus to keep groups in control. I carry two fast Sniper rifles and 2 slow but powerful rifles. With my skull smasher at level 61 I can headshot a bad ass brute for 22k.
Course Roland with ammo regen mods, ammo regen turret, and The Chopper = hilarity.
Well, E3 is nearly done and the only Borderlands 'news' is that it will be available thorugh OnLive at launch. I guess that's cool, although more for people how haven't played the game yet. Will OnLive people be able to coop with regular PC Steam/Retail players? With XBox/PS3 players?
Gamespot video about OnLive here. Not much Borderlands content, although you do see someone playing on a Mac wandering around Fyrestone with a scoped repeater.
While this thread is bumped, I might as well throw this out there: If there are any PS3 players out there looking to co-op, I'd be up for it. My Mordecai is level 23 (I think), and since I'm playing solo I'm starting to lose motivation. I'm guessing some company would help with that.

I have a level 22 Roland, first play through. I think someone to play with would get me playing this game again.
I live on the East Coast of the US, and work second shift. I can play from say 930AM to about 1230PM, and some times after work from around 1230AM to 2AM.
Oh, and I just noticed the name thread change. I'm... slightly embarrassed. Thanks for the shout out. Now, someone else start talking, or someone mention some breaking Borderlands news so the title can be changed from "BFICKY HAS NO FRIENDS. PITY HIM!" to something else.
I'm on PS3 and have a higher level Siren, around 40. I could use her to help you guys with whatever should you need it. I'm also interested in coop anytime I'm on and my PSN id is lobus (that's a lower case L). I was also just thinking about starting a soldier character, so look me up sometime!

So how does this co-op thing work anyway? Whose quests does a team do, the lowest player? The host? If DouglasDanger, Keenbean, and I team up, would Douglas and I have to replay missions to get Keenbean caught up before we're all simultaneously beating quests? Or could Keenbean play quests out of order and just have those as beaten when he gets to them eventually in solo play?

It goes off the host. If somebody is behind, they need to catch up or else the quests won't count. It would probably be best to have the person furthest behind host so they can catch up (you will still get xp and what not for the quests).

It would appear there ain't no rest for the wicked...who knew?
I still need that damn Viral trophy myself for the PS3 Borderlands.
I have a 61 Roland, Mord and Lilith. Have yet to kill Crawmerax on either of them.
Solo'ing Crawmerax with Lilith is an exercise in patience and skill and I just don't have it. I also went through the vault 2 times and numerous reloads for an ammo regen mod and couldn't find anything. Closest I have is a Hellfire SMG with +22, which is fine but isn't ideal.
Fuck Crawmerax. Me and my buddy used the broken ledge trick to whittle him down and neither of us feel even a little guilty. There's a reason I quit playing WOW. Fuck Crawmerax.

This is also good if you have Mad Moxxi and a friend with a high-level character. The 5-round matches tend to take an hour or two, but if you've got a high level friend swallowing baddies whole it goes a LOT faster.

i was always of the opinion that it's more fun to go charging through an area than focusing on a single enemy
lost cave with 4 mans and 85 bazillion superbad fire skags 8-)

So I've been playing this on the 360, and digging it. I've finished up everything in the Arid Badlands and gone on to the second area, which looks... well, more or less the same as the first.
Have I more or less experienced everything this game has to offer already, barring mild enemy variations and phat lewt? Or do things mix up a bit more than that? Does the plot ever really kick in besides "you're seeking the vault for some reason, some dudes want to stop you?"

No. But isn't phat lewt enough to keep you going? Also talents. Half the fun of this game comes from talent specs. Case in point: Rogue specced Mordecai.

Okay so I just bought Borderlands (again) for the PC. Box version.
Is the game supposed to look like ass? I have no shadows, textures are blurry, and basically the game looks nowhere near as good as it did on the 360. So what is up? I am currently downloading the latest patch, will that help? I am not seeing any graphic options in the game. Other then resolution.
edit- Hahha, I was missing something. Stupid consolized menus. :P

There are definitely graphics options in there....
It reads as follows (from the main menu, options --> Audio/Video):
Resolution
Anisotropic Filtering
Dynamic Shadows
Bullet Decals
Foliage Quality
Texture Quality
Game Detail
Ambient Occlusion
Bloom
Depth of Field
Use your arrow keys to scroll down past resolution. All of those options are there. Mouse wheel scroll doesn't work. At least, not for me.
Is it just me, or does single-player vehicle combat blow some serious chunks? I've got a "trivial"-level quest to kill some patrols, but when I'm driving the machine gun does nothing to them and when I'm in the turret they blow the shit out of me with missiles.
Just started playing again since November when I lost all my saves. Holy crap, Bouncing Betties are actually useful now!
Question though, is there anyway to increase the number of enemies without actually having other people join your game? I like the frantic action when you've got 3 scag caves spewing 10+ scags each.

What the guy above me said. You know you can use the main weapon while driving, right? Right Mouse on PC, Left Trigger on 360. To be fair though, most vehicle portions of this game suck. I was pretty pissed when I found out Secret Armory had zero Transport hubs, and a whole shitload of long, boring stretches of highway. I hope they don't make that mistake again.
Fortunately, the Catch-a-Ride fast travel trick still works. At least within the same zone. It's especially useful when you've got the second vehicle at a station with a vending machine. Makes looting a little bit easier in the early parts.

I know there is zero news on a Borderlands 2, but I can't help but be hyped for it.
I pretty much just want more of the same, cranked to 11.
A more open world. Zoning in to dungeons is fine with me, but for the other zones I'd like them to be seamless.
Full voice acting would be much appreciated too. Borderlands doesn't have much, but what it does have is pretty awesome.
I do not mind the hand crafted world, but I would like to see some random caves, bunkers, ruins, what-have-you that are randomly generated. Stuff that is basically extra y'know? Take the Lost Cave for example, something like that being randomly generated would be cool to me.
I want to say more classes, but I am not sure exactly how that would work. Ever since I first fought them I'd wanted to play as those Crimson Lance guys with the big shield and pistol. Not sure how that would play, but it sure looks cool. 8-)
More NPCs around town. I mean not hundreds or anything, but a few dudes walking around wouldn't hurt.
And the plot? Eh, fuck it I just want me shinies!
Ah, it's nice to dream. :P
Oh, maybe some difficulty options too and perhaps even an Ironman mode. Though I don't personally see myself lasting more then a few levels with that. But hey, I know there are people out there who love that stuff.

Are you on PC? Some stalwart poster on GB forums posted a hack to trick BL into thinking there were more players in the game with you than there are. I haven't tried it, but responses on the forum there were pretty favorable. Here's the thread.
I don't know if that's what the "Game difficulty modifier (only for LAN)" item is in the BL: Configuration Editor.
If you're on a console I think you're out of luck.

You might not be able to tell, but this is double-limed. I like the level design of the game, but it would be awesome (and totally fitting the "procedural generation" theme) to have like 2-5 areas in the game that were random and revisitable. A cave, a desert canyon, an urban slum (a la Old Haven), etc.
Hell, if they would do just one of those in DLC 4 (and fix core game scaling) I'd give them all my money again!
I just want a real plot, with cutscenes and all that jazz. The promotional videos just oozed personality, but we don't really see much of that in the game.

I just want the return of Tannis. In fact, I want Tannis as an alyx-like sidekick. EXCEPT IT TURNS OUT THAT YOU'RE TANNIS TOO?!
