NECA was on-hand at Comic-Con this past weekend, showing off the prototype above. The final version, which will be able to recite lines from the game, is slated for release this October. Frankly, we can't wait to get our own, mostly because we've always wondered what kind of loot our house has been hiding.
Smoking Jesus titty cinnamon thats gonna be SWEEEET!
assuming every single shot hits you'd be doing base 2508 damage per shot, add Mordecai's Gun Crazy and you could probably pop Craw in under 20 seconds...
this thing is craw's worst nightmare. my soldier's heavy gunner mod increases the clip to 5 and the fire rate +65%
it's pretty awesome
that and i found a 700+ damage penetrator, so that's awesome too

The heavy gunner mod weirds me out with my some of the revolvers. A revolver obviously has a certain amount of chambers and seeing it keep on shooting weirds me out a little bit.
So great screenshot opporunities are so common that I have bound it to clicking the middle mouse button. I'll inundate the thread later today with them if I remember when I get home, BUT I wanted to ask you guys if you knew how to change the default format for screenshots? Currently they're all in BMP, which isn't exactly a pain in the ass to change over, but if I can avoid this minor inconvenience, that'd be swell.
Also I'm pretty much gonna have to kill you know, cheers, mate!
Played the other two DLCs and thinking of picking up underdome since it's on sale. Anyone interested in getting a foursome together (360) to run through some of it? I'm a level 59ish soldier.
Just done the third farmory run and not asingle keeper. Funnily enough the guns I do use are actually dirt cheap in comparison to the ones I end up picking up. Next time through I'm finishing the mission for real, it's getting kind of tedious killing knoxx over and over again.

I finally finished this a few days ago, and I have a question. Is Baron Flynt meant to drop anything good?
I couldn't check as when I finally beat him - using Sledge's Shotgun - he flew backwards faster than Ellen Burstyn in The Exorcist, off the top of the excavator thingy and kept going until he was a speck on the horizon. I never found his body.

He does drop a gun, but I can't recall if it was anything worth getting. I believe bosses respawn though, so if you travel back up he may be there again.
It can be highly entertaining with the correct shotty build, but you'll find something better before too long. Haven't tried it with Brick yet, so maybe there may be more too it.

Is Moxxi worth it for the storage? Cause I'll be damned if the actual gameplay would run alright. I get around 20fps at worst in knoxx and I can only imagine Moxxi being severely worse with more enemies.

Just get WillowTree and up your inventory size. Unless you're on console.

"For no one - no one in this world can you trust. Not men. Not women. Not beasts...this you can trust."
Xeddicus to the rescue once again! If only the inventory screen had better sorting options. I like that I can split the weapons by category but there should be a price option too. Ah well.
So I'm curious if the fact that the 360 versions of the DLC are on sale this week indicates that they might go on sale for the PC too soon?
Is there any way to know this?
Or, I guess similar question, is there any way to know ahead of time what the specials will be on steam?
No. You missed the summer sale, they were all 66% off.
Oh, yeah I know that; I have the DLC except moxxi which I could give two shits about. I was just asking because I just got the game for a friend and was wondering if we should wait before he gets the DLC.

I depends, it's a question of fun now vs. no fun at all, or fun now vs. fun later thing. My wife and I played through slow enough and we're each busy enough that I waited and lucky got the steam sale, and we're only now getting into Knoxx for PT1. If you will get more fun than a theater movie out of it, then it's probably worth the cash now. Unless the enemies don't scale past 51, you can enjoy it after playing through the game (I'm not certain what they scale up to as I'm not past 51 yet and the wiki sin't specific on this).
We had alot of fun with Moxxi though, and will likely go back for shoots and giggles once we get some better gear. We honestly had a hard time with round 4 on two of the maps.
If I was playing solo, I probably wouldn't have had any fun with Moxxi. My primary complaint with Moxxi is that I don't level weapons in there. There are all sorts of fun rules that push me to try out rarely used weapons (why yes! I DO have a purple double anarchy in my inventory that I never used, why do you ask?) and I don't get the bonus of leveling the weapon skill.
Remove experience, fine, better than fine as I would be insanely overleveled instead of incredibly overleveled if I had earned XP in there, but at least give me weapons experience!

It's a shotgun with a 6 round clip that empties itself when you pull the trigger. It's kind of meh.
Sometimes it shoots rockets. But not the real rockets, the shotgun kind of rockets.
Okay, I just found a lvl 25 Firefly mod with +40% Ignite damage, +3 Spark, and +28% elemental effect chance. I also found a lvl 25 Fearsome Volcano, and an orange lvl 25 machine pistol with a lvl 4 Ignite chance that apprently fires incendiary bullets (that do more damage than anything I have except the sniper rifle). My Siren is lvl 22.
Bandit alert: total rape incoming in three levels.
Fire works for about 80% of the core game's monsters, everything on zombie island, and most of the critters and bandits in knoxx too. Worth their weight in gold, those are.
I should try one of those Firefly mods. Got a 142 x4 fire 12.5 fire rate SMG that's my go-to gun for anything but fire mobs. I usually use the Mercenary mods, or the shield one when I'm with a soldier.

Yeah, had Moxxi had one (or both) of two things, I would get it.
1) Weapon proficiency.
2) Account shared stash.
I don't care about normal XP; there's more than enough of that to go around already. It's harder to not grossly outlevel everything after the very end of playthrough 1 with Knoxx and Ned already.
And I don't even care too much that individual enemies don't drop loot.
My dude is level 40 and my bro Chad is running me through Knoxx armory runs and I was wondering where the coolest place for two bros to powerlevel each other would be. I'd really like to chill with my bro at the level cap.
You should just play the game, bro. It's like, a totally tight shooter and hitting max level is like so primo simple that you really shouldn't need powerleveling, man.

Yeah I just did my second run. Haven't found any "ZOMG!" weapons for my Soldier yet, but if I was a different class. . . .
I did find a 5 line Rifleman Mod that is sexy as fuck though.
edit- going for a third run. If any, this is addicting as fuck.

He does have an interesting gun but I didn't really like it. But yeah just go and off him again.
With a different gun.

cause the one linked in the OP is older then Zombie Island DLC.

you have the hellfire which is the best incendiary anything ever
volcano, firehawk and draco which all kick ass
then you have the friendly fire and the roaster which suck
Curly, you're on PC, right?
Cause I was thinking about attempting a 20.
Does Moxxi scale all the way up to 61, if you have Knoxx?

Knoxx runs should keep you leveling up pretty well, though.
Speaking of Knoxx runs, I just picked up an orange from the chest midget leading up to knoxx. A scoped Wildcat. WTF.
