The short-hair guy could be Batsu from Rival Schools.
Also, where the hell are all the other Darkstalkers? Jon Tailbain and Demitri need to make a comeback! Especially since Demitri is the Darkstalkers' version of Ryu.

With games like Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, and the new King of Fighters, 2D fighters can look just real good these days. It's not a surprise that the game is going to be improved upon, graphically at least, but why the move to 3D?

With games like Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, and the new King of Fighters, 2D fighters can look just real good these days. It's not a surprise that the game is going to be improved upon, graphically at least, but why the move to 3D?

I gather it's for a speed/cost reason. Hand animation can look amazing no doubt but the time/money for hd quality sprite animation is pretty high I'd guess. Stylized 3d characters in a still 2d fighting system can likely cut cost and allow many more characters to make the cut in a faster production time.
