Here is a thread on a particularly lighter note than my last one!
I have a few different audio files on my computer of full length albums that are in .ape or .flac file types. These files are full CD's in 1 file, I am trying to find a way to split them into individual tracks (they did come with .cue files)
The only problem is the majority of what I am finding on google is for Linux users, or they are programs that I wouldn't trust touching with.. well I frankly don't want to try them if I don't know for sure they are safe.
So, does anyone know of a program (preferably open source or free) that is usable with Windows 7 that can be used for splitting these audio files into individual tracks?
Posts
1. convert to .wav using whatever program you use for managing flac files, like media monkey or foobar.
2. Download Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
3. Import your new .wav version of the audio.
4. This wiki page should help you do what you want.

Good luck!
