Rather than make a shitty OP about 4/20, I am going to actually put some effort into this so it doesn't get locked.

Today we celebrate a day universally recognized are a a day to smoke weed. According to Wikipedia, the term 420 came about thanks to a group of San Rafael, California "High" School students who would meet every day at 4:20pm to smoke weed. This evolved into an all purpose counter-culture day for young and old alike. For me and many others, this day is a great chance to spread a pro-cannabis message. Let's take a look at cannabis culture 250 years ago and today.
Did you know the founding fathers were users of recreational cannabis?
That's right. Many of our founding fathers and former presidents consumed this "sweet hemp" as one called it. The likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, and Benjamin Franklin were known to hit the pipe after a long day of founding our great nation. Since hemp was a widely cultivated crop, it is only natural for some of it to be used for fun. Back than there was nothing really wrong with the whole thing, it was just something you do.
Flash forwards to today.
For almost 100 years, Marijuana has been illegal. Finally we see a small beacon of hope coming from California. In November, California's citizens will be able to vote on the legalization of Marijuana. Many believe this will open the floodgates for legalization across the country. Many say they can see Marijuana given full legal status in the US within 10 years.

Now kick back, relax and smoke some weed. Happy 4/20 everyone.
