To be honest, it really doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to not get hit by that beam.

Fly towards the ship and hug near it. Boom, problem solved. Of course, they might have weaponry closer but given how large that beam is, its probably the most powerful armament and maybe the others won't be powerful enough to cut through the armor/shields.

It occurs to me that Joker probably had no way of actually knowing if his evasive manoeuvers were going to dodge the main weapon of the Collector ship. I mean, he may have just been flying evasively and hit the beam by sheer bad luck.

Whereas come time with the SR-2, presumably he's been reading up on everything they gleaned from the sensors so they actually understand the targeting and re-targeting capabilities of the weapons so he knows how to dodge them.

I wouldn't mind hushed and breathy if her voice wasn't completely flat all the time.

When she gets embarrassed in ME1 after saying all the wrong things to Shepard, I get embarrassed because her delivery is horrendous. And then she never really emotes at all. And as I have said, her speech patterns often seem to be modeled after legendary actor William Shatner.

I think anything is better than male Shepard's attempts to be all Humphrey Bogart when he actually gets down to romancing someone. I physically cringe every time he speaks to Liara.

    Less eyeshadow and eyeliner.

More importantly, a visor, which according to Tyra really brings out the cocky.

first time you properly meet her, she shoots
    wilson
in the neck, and in a very matter-of-fact sort of way, she says it was how it had to be.

then, you talk to her before freedom's progress, and she pretty much says that she doesn't want to talk or be your friend, she knows you're the best at what you do, but let's do the mission thankyouverymuch.

then, when you get on the normandy, she's suddenly all simpering and "oh shepard anything for you do you need some information i'm sure this is all confusing let me bend over and pick that up tee hee"

This is why I never take Miranda on missions I don't need to have her on. She does have good biotics though until you get Jack or Samara.

Warp is really the only biotic ability worth having and neither of those two have it.

I suppose Pull or Shockwave can be good against husks if you strip their defenses first.

And Reave is decent once you do Samara's loyalty.

Only thing better than one warp is three.

Personally most of my playthroughs I just take Thane and Legion everywhere. Legion for his Widow, Thane for his 50% damage bonus and Viper and his warp.
