What Would You Do With A Million Bajillion Dollars
Shaw said he needed a few days to decide whether he will keep his minimum-wage job at the store where he has worked for just three weeks. He also plans to seek advice "from people who know about money" about whether to take the jackpot in 30 payments over 29 years or the lump-sum amount of $124,875,122.
That's a lot of cash money! Seems like a nice enough guy, good for him. But it got me thinking- what the fuck would I do with that amount of money? Where do you even start?
So after doing the 'practical' and 'responsible' shit like paying off your bills and helping out friends/family, giving to charity or whatever, what crazy outlandish shit would you do with that money?
Me, I've got five words for you: Private shuttle. to the moon
I used to be of the opinion that I would keep working, but after the last year where my company sacked a bunch of people and expected me to pick up their work, I figure I could do well to keep myself busy in other ways. Like use the money to open my own artists studio.
I would buy someones soul. And then use it as the stakes in a fiddling contest with Crwth, in exchange for the golden fiddle he bought from Larlar.

Before following any advice, opinions, or thoughts I may have expressed in the above post, be warned: I found Keven Costners "Waterworld" to be a very entertaining film.

Wait? The lump sum is like half the amount? Yikes. I mean sure the tax man will take a cut, but still. Ouch. Of course, $124 million is nothing to sneeze at.
Seriously though, Lawyer, Accountant and then start looking for businesses to invest in, gotta make that money grow.
edit: And then use a portion of that growth to form a grant that will help drop outs who have figured out what they want to do for a living but they need to finish portions of their education.

Yeah, I honestly don't know if I would give up working if I had the means to. I get antsy when I have nothing to do, I'd probably end up recreating Neverland Ranch out of sheer boredom

I would see how much money I'd need to pay the state government to keep from plastering my name and face everywhere and ruining any semblance of a social life I might have.

Good show, old bean.

a
LOT
there is no way id be able to spend that much money
Tiny payments that they are afraid they won't receive all of?
yeah but they're clearly all terrible at managing money seeing as they play the lottery
why not just get a couple million dollars magically every year? that just seems so much more appealing.
ONE million
i can't imagine getting such a ridiculous amount of cash
because the more money you have the more you're likely to overdose on some sweet cocaine next week
Yes you would since you would have to pay taxes on it.

I'm talking like 90% of it
if I won like 200 million dollars I would seriously give the vast majority of it away
Then go back to being a man after a month.
Then try out being a snake

this guy won 258 MILLION dollars
if you want more money than that then you'll never be happy
but proper investment means you can look at the long term, set up your kids, their kids, etc
Fuck kids.
Gonna make so many clones for myself so I'll be ready like Palpatine.
that would own
I edited to add that I would use some of that growth to fund educational grants.
I don't think you grasp just how much money 258 million dollars
Put it in the effing BANK and you and like 10 generations wouldn't have to work ever again
never mind something with a decent yield
