I've just acquired a 40 gig drive from work to add to my 80 gig at home. I am planning to install XP Pro and Ubuntu (Dapper Drake). I am interested in opinions for how I should set up partitions. Here's what I'm thinking of, please tell me if you consider it a good idea:
on 80 GB HDD:
50 GB for XP and apps (games, etc.) formatted NTFS
Remainder of disk in NTFS for data (pictures mostly)
on 40 GB:
10 GB for Ubuntu
Balance of disk formatted fat32 with music on.
