A GMCA would still fucking cap that stupid witch in her stupid mouth before she ever got a chance to do anything. Based on that, I'm fine with this discrepancy. :D

I'm just complaining about Mk2's points system and how it demands that the GMCA and Warwitch both be priced at 2 points when even someone who likes the GMCA would not be crazy enough to claim it's near as versatile or strong as the Warwitch.

I like Mk2's points system better than Mk1's but I think they went too far, it's too coarse-grained.

Oooooh Gun Mage Captain Adept, gotcha. I wasn't familiar with the acronym.

I'm looking at the Warwitch stat card, and it's not very impressive? How is this deemed powerful?

An 8" (10?) RAT7 corrosion-causing spray is automatically good in Mk2. Throw in Power Booster and Stealth and she is candy.

8". I'm not sure how that's very useful, as Cleansers have vaguely better sprays, and have a tendency to underperform for me. Power Booster is nice against Cygnar, yes, but I'm not seeing the usefulness of 1 focus on warjack. Especially with all of Cryx's high foc casters.

Shadow Bind is great, but she only has mat 5. She has a 45% chance to miss def 12.

    Magic Ability 7 Spray.
That is 1+ magical attacks that ignore stealth, concealment, cover, and engaged-in-melee that causes corrosion.

Oh and it's SPD 7. And has reach. And has Shadowbind.

Then there's that seduction nonsense that turns my Drakhun around to poke out my own warcaster's eye.
She's pretty alright for two points.
Oh wait. And we aren't done. Power Booster.

Can I take this wonderful opportunity to complain about Greylord Terions?

I mean really. They are a really great little unit.. And I take them at least fairly often because they are a versatile little trio. But seriously. 4 POINTS??????

I'm sorry but for 13/13s that don't even have boxes... how is that worth 4 points?? You have freaking B13th that can do practically everything short of killing warjacks and they are CONSIDERABLY more protected than Greylords, without even counting that they have 5 boxes each.

In comparison, Khador's Nightfall seasonal unit, the new Greylords, were utterly golden. Influence, frostbite, ice cage... Oh and weapon master so that they can actually make decent use of Battle Wizard. 1 point more, and they each got 5 boxes.

They were everything I've ever wanted my Ternion to be (minus the loss of Blizzard) and here they are come and gone now..

    Anyhow, Bitching mode: off.

I love them dearly. I just complain because of the obvious disparity between oh idk B13th and a Ternion.

They should not be the same point cost as is.

Yeah I like them in Karchev's tier too. I'm not dissing on them per say, I'm dissing on the lack of survivability. Who gives a flying shit if they can lay down clouds and have nice magic shotguns if the first blast dmg that comes their way is pretty damn likely to kill them.

Lol. I love me some Ternions. Just sad at how fragile that 4 point investment is.

I think that PP used Nightfall to try beta testing different units. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a 2pt UA that adds wounds and/or Force Barrier.

Edit: I'm thinking eZerkova will be the next Khador caster, seeing as she's getting all the popularity/gods from the elves. 'Elite Cadre: Ternion' is a given.

The thing here is that everything in Cygnar has guns. Not everything in Khador has magical spray attacks and everything else, thusly, we pay a premium.

Oh, and you can only take one B13. The disparity is there, but it's not as extreme as you're making it.

Yeah, Character anythings are almost always going to be really good. I mean, I could compare a min unit of Precursors to the Great Bears because they both cost 5 points, but that would be silly. You really have to take the context of a unit into account.

On a different note, who do you guys think will be the first casters to go 'Legendary' or '3' or 'Epic squared' ?
On Cygnar's end, I'd love it to be Stryker but they've said his storyline is kind of 'done' for now, and I don't know how much character development Nemo has left in him. So my guess would be either:

-Haley becomes a Prime caster (in the sense of the magic power levels, like how Nemo is an Adept) and realizes that she is The One, becoming the game's first 100 focus caster
-Caine finally does something about this missing heir situation and...gets RAT 10? Don't really know how they'd change him. Maybe he gets a horse, or something.

Yeah, the best thing to do is buy stuff together with anyone you know who might be buying stuff too. It's not a huge difference, but the extra 5% off adds up on big orders. Every once in a while there's something sweet in the 50% off section too if you get lucky.

Personally, I think we're going to see some faction changes eventually.

Empress Ayn Rand figures that Butcher outlives his usefulness, has him killed. Cryx finds his corpse, Lichifies him, searches his memories, finds Lola's soul and binds it to a thrall for him.

Haley gets thoroughly pissed off at everything that Stryker and the rest of Cygnar has done to the Menites. Goes Merc to 'find herself', maybe joins Ashlynn's cause.

I could see Fiona getting employed by Cygnar full time to teach them Thamarrite magic.

Goreshade joins Khador to help against the Elves.

Not sure about Menoth, I'd have to see how Feora is acting in it.

Then again, I haven't read any fluff past Superiority, FoScryah and FoKhador.

How? Most of Cygnar is Morrowan and has a pretty staunch opposition to Thamarites from what I understand.
On topic: Irusk will be the first for Khador, simply because he is on a pretty obvious path to becoming Khador's Premier and thusly the big boss of everything ever regarding Khadoran military. I mean, he is the greatest military mind in the history of Western Immoren. I'm guessing that the current Premier would have to be assassinated for him to attain that position, and the Empress would pretty readily appoint him after his success at Northguard. The only problem would be the bitching of the actual Supreme Kommandants who command the three armies (As opposed to Irusk who plays with all three of them). It would also be pretty easy to write him away to do fancy military things and have room to work on the newer personalities in Khador.

Cygnar is mostly morrowan, yes, but Cygnar seems to be spiraling downwards in the war. They've already work camp'd a ton of Menites, as well as rooted out Menites in the army. I'm expecting them to go down a Third-Reichesque path, starting with delving into Thamarrite magic. edit: Until Vinter and his Skorne friends siege Cygnar.

Stryker: I mean, Morrow and Thamar are siblings, right? It's not that heretical.

Leto: Morrowdamnit Stryker, we're not worshipping Thamar.

Stryker: Have I shown you Fiona's cleavage yet?

    Leto: ...
Leto: Maybe it isn't that heretical.

As for Haley: That's exactly my point. Several times she's taken leave to dick around on the cryxian isles, among other places. I can imagine her walking around screaming "MY SISTER IS DEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAD", then suddenly realize "Hey, we're evil now. Maybe I'll join some pirates and find my dead sister."

I think after Legends where Stryker almost died saving Sul-Menites, the whole 'deportation' thing is kind of done now. And Vinter isn't friends with the Skorne anymore, so I don't know how much of a threat either of those guys are...besides the whole 'cygnar's 4th army is secretly loyal to vinter' thing. I think the next big movement in the plot will probably revolve around the dragons or the heir...probably the dragons/cryx's internal power struggle, given how Haley
gave a lich lord the smack down
    in the Cygnar forces book.

As for casters switching factions though, I'm kind of hoping that Baldur becomes a legion caster after being almost killed by Lylyth. I seem to remember (possibly incorrectly) that there was something about him battling blight, with the possibility of him being taken over...?

Who do people think is the most likely caster to "go epic" for each faction?

I have not a single clue, but my guess would be... Zerkova, Kraye, Reznik, and... maybe Morty?

An epic Zerkova might do Khador some good. Maybe an caster with *gasp* Focus 8???? (lol jk that wont ever happen)

All that aside, I wouldn't mind a caster with Solid Ground for Khador. Probably too much to ask, but damn that would be nice.

    Officer,
    Self-Sacrifice.
    Tactics: Pathfinder
Tactics: Quick Work - When a model with quick work destroys one or more enemy models with a melee attack during its combat action, immediately after the attack is resolved it can make one normal ranged attack.

    Normal weps

    Standard Bearer
    Self-Sacrifice
Purity - while this model is in formation, models in its unit cannot be targeted by enemy spells.

    No weps

Seeing as mercs won nightfall or whatever it was, I'm expecting Ashlynn to go epic. Zerkova's been getting a lot of attention from elves, and she has a god. The only other Khador casters up for going Epic are Old Witch(who was entirely glossed over in FoK) and Karchev(who was only mentioned as an aside in Strakhov's story). Reznik is the second newest caster, so I doubt he'll go epic. Amon with 'Elite Cadre: OotF' and a tier that gives them -1pt cost just sounds wonderful. Harby nearly died, so she's another good candidate; not sure what they would do with her, though. Epic Coven seems more likely than Terminus.

Edit: Pathfinder on Errants. I need to find new pants, excuse me.

It doesn't have a mini-feat, though. +4rng, rof 2, or even CRA for 1 round would have been nice. I do like how it gives you a reason to keep the standard around, seeing as he is entirely useless without Purity. He's entirely useless with eKreoss, though.
