Okay that's a pretty fucked up thing I hadn't seen yet:
Kobold gets her belly cut open in a fight, but doesn't die. Her guts pop out, and she's wandering the map with two tiles of grey vomit looking stuff trailing behind her. Not bleeding, not in pain.. she's just got a trail of intestines behind her.

so one of my dwarves picked a fight with a deer and broke his spine.
i made a hospital, stocked it up, and the dwarves put him in bed.
now, whenever they try to do surgery on him, they take him out of the bed and immediately give SURGERY CANCELLED: PATIENT NOT RESTING and leave him on the floor.

halp?
Try putting the table for surgery directly adjacent to the bed.
Has your FPS dropped considerably since he was injured?
I had a dorf get injured by a creature that ended up getting trapped, and what would happen is every time they'd go to start the medical treatment, he'd start trying to path to the caged creature so my FPS hit the floor and they couldn't do anything with the dorf.
Eventually I just used runesmith to kill off the dumb dorf.

Hey, so what's the status on current bugs? I was under the impression one more cleaning-up release would be necessary before we were back at 40d-level stability... has that happened, with the latest release? It's playable without major bugs?
I was going to wait until the very next release to start playing the new version, but it doesn't seems forthcoming. :P
The next release will fix the last remaining real big issue that I know of, the problems with diplomats dying and never being replaced and the criteria for elevation to a barony being wrong.
Um, I am super confused as the why my dwarves just aren't working. I've changed their labor preferences, I have tons of dwarves capable of doing woodworking/carpentry, and none of them will do it...?
Not to mention, no dorf will haul the chopped wood to my stockpile? bug?
nothing was forbid, I checked that too... Everyone is permitted to use them as well.
They also won't construct new workshops or anything like that?
EDIT: I'm so stupid.
No one could get in or out because I built stairs going up on top of the stairs I CARVED going down... so they conflicted eachother.
Also, how do I get a magma pipe on ever area... The settings do different thinks since I last played.

Im a big fan of adventurer mode when i don't have the time nor will to commit to fortress mode, but I hope it evolves more.
As for now, El Fantismo the stealthy luchador is content with sneaking into caves and performing various wrestling moves until the thing is too embarassed to carry on (or i strangle it)
I had thought, upon tunneling into Hell, that my dwarves would have survived by building a floodgate to protect them... unfortunately, the floodgate was able to be destroyed, and so, my dwarves were assaulted and killed in droves... and my alcohol stores were demolished.
The only things the demons can't destroy are natural rock walls and stuff built with b-C. As far as I'm aware, though, they still can't destroy things that are above them.
But HFS murders your FPS anyway, as they'll continue trying to path to your dwarves even with no available path.

Tropico 3 is terrible. I seriously hope none of that gameplay is in Dungeons. But yes, the polish was well done on Tropico 3.
Some people really like Tropico series though... not a whole lot though. :X

Is it normal for dwarves to end up with names like that?
Dwarfs have all kinds of awesome weird names
Do you have it marked as an economic stone? That'll block general uses for it, I believe.
When a dwarf kills 5 named enemies they gain the extra name.
Tropic 3 thread plz - we'll talk about how wrong you are. : P
uh, maybe not? how do I change that?
! Ahahahaha, he got his title from throwing a tantrum and murdering five of my farmers.
It's a menu off the status screen. So (see if I can remember this), it's Z, and then look for a heading of "Stones" . Then look for Obsidian.

Heck, people don't even have 'guts'.
Those are all individually tracked, though.
I suppose he could track stomach, small bowel...

It will also add a bunch of new features.
.12 is fairly stable, though.

It still has some quirks.. but your dudes will properly kill mans, which is really all it needs to do.

If you do a mass forbid of stuff and clip a workshop, it'll keep dwarfs from working at it. You won't even get a job cancellation about it.

But HFS murders your FPS anyway, as they'll continue trying to path to your dwarves even with no available path.
Goblins, for example, will quietly idle if there's no path and not cause FPS hits. Demons will fuck your computer over and laugh while it happens.
If thats the case, do cats not adopt anymore? Cause I've been able to butcher any of them and they don't appear to have owners.
