So yeah one day I'll throw this thing off a building, but not today
alright I was trying to update my drivers. I thought they were up to date, and i remember unpading them fairly recently, but I guess not
NVidia geforce 6200
pentium 4 / 2.8 ghz
2560 mb Ram
Looking at my nvidia control panel, I was shocked to find I had driver version 185.85, so i downloaded the newest one (197.45) from the nvidia website, it unpacks and runs but shortly after starting it goes to a finish screen, saying:
Installshield Wizard Complete
The system has not been modified. To install the program at a later time, run the program again.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.
And it didn't do anything. I browsed around the internet and was told to uninstall all my old drivers. So i did that, restarted, said "no" to the automatic updater, and tried to manually install again
same screen
so now I have NO drivers. Dxdiag has "display" tab as all blanks.
I tried running driversweeper to erase the old drivers, no go
some people told me to take out the Physx setup from the folder and run the in-folder setup of the driver folder. No dice, at least with the PhysX_9.10.0129_SystemSoftware i took out, if i had to take out more, I don't know
All my googling has been for naught, there's either years-old topics with no real help and general flaming or stuff i've already tried, or stuff that is talking about things i have no idea how to do or what they did.
