So I'm as beyond fucking terrible as I remember being, but still having quite a bit of fun. Just cant do shooters on consoles for some reason. I'm pretty decent on pc, but just awful on consoles.
Think I might go and pick up Halo 3 tomorrow. Never have actually played it yet >.>
Melee is first for me, but then I have the magnum (which I manage a 3:1 kill death ratio with somehow), DMR, Hammer, and then Focus Rifle. Gotta love these early stats.

It's been a long time since I've been jealous of something.
Armor Lock? You mean, everyone stand around and look at the glowing blue guy, lobbing grenades at him?
Armor lock can be amazing in the right situations - I love using it when I'm about to be melee'd. If you time it right you can also squeeze off a few shot, armor lock through a grenade, shoot a bit more, armor lock their next grenade, and then finish them with plenty of health
...that said I'm doing really badly with the DMR and pistol...which is weird because I did fine with the original pistol and BR o_O I think I need to work on the rhythm with my shots and lining up headshots.
Also, I like how Bungie mooted the flag-thrower's argument of "throwing is balanced by showing flag position!" by having the flag indicator always be on anyway.

That certainly didn't stop the "FLAG TAKEN FLAG DROPPED FLAG TAKEN FLAG DROPPED..." and on and on all match.
I got stuck on that ledge briefly using sprint too. Plan was to do a sprint jump over to that area where the focus rifle lives, missed slightly, and got stuck on that little ledge.
I have noticed I get stuck on pieces of the map a lot more than I used to. The boulders have a lot of annoying holes you can fall into.
-Is anybody else having trouble finding health packs on the maps?
I found them fairly easily.. well, I don't know if I have all the locations mapped out, but once I found the first one, I started seeing them all over the place.
The trouble I have with them is picking the damn things up. The radius is really small on them, the pale blue overlay that indicates "press X to pick up" is often drowned out by the wall I'm humping, and they seem to have a lower pickup priority than guns.. if there's someone's old weapon lying on the ground, you'll pick it up every fucking time.
That said, I have survived a couple epic showdowns by ducking around a corner, scooping the health kit, and finishing off the guy chasing me.

It's been dead for a few hours. Out of keys, they say.
I know the frags have always been a little large in Halo, but that thing looks like a melon.
Better luck next time, I guess.

I can express some maturity as I wait till Monday. :P
Maturity is overrated. It's all about displaying some emotional instability. That's what the ladies like. 8-)

The plasma launcher is my 5th weapon (in order of kills obtained with). Under the standard Melee, assault rifle, and then stickies and frags.
57 kills with it in just one day.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is the River call out on Construct...

-Jetpacks... Fuck yes.
-Plasma Repeater is sick.
-Magnum's a lot harder to use than I expected.

-Whoever came in here and said that the DMR and the BR were the same weapon was being a fucking idiot.

I'll go through both maps in theater mode and see if I can't find them.
EDIT: Here's the list of the ones I've found so far for the uninformed. Let me know if I missed any, so I can add them.
POWERHOUSE
-First floor of the generator room, on the wall, to the right of the base of the stairs.
-In the supply room/kitchen at the base of the hill, right next to the door facing the slope that leads to the second floor of the generator room.
-The office building right above the bathroom, next to the door looking out at the second floor of the generator room.
SWORD BASE
-1b, in the Control Room, next to the door facing the short staircase that leads to the Grav Lift.
-2a, in Sword Spawn, next to the awning that looks out over the Atrium.
-3b, at the end of the bridge leading up from 2a Sword Spawn.
