Well, that didn't work out well for either of us:)
And I was totally gonna kill two of them and seriously wound a third before getting shredded by the rest.

What is the arming range on the tube, would you have been able to get them at that close range?

For reference you can nail people at the top of Raven's Sabo C while running to the objective. I think (but haven't verified) that the grenade chucking skill also affects the range of the launcher (like it does the RPG).

Just a heads up, I'll probably remind you all - but on Friday my buddy will probably be coming round again. So if you play with him - don't be surprised if my man is getting dropped over and over. :P

Oh yeah, I might actually come on tomorrow night (Tuesday) as well - since I've not played with ya'll for a couple of days now. :D

At close range, the noob tube acts like the rocket, which means that it will bounce off stuff. You can kill with a direct grenade impact though i think, which is a nice bonus, but don't count on it. For a range comparison, I can counter snipe snipers at sniper range with the noob tube, as long as the position is good (eg open etc., If the sniper is near a wall it makes it easier).

Also, abuse the fact that the grenade does not explode at close range right away. You can bounce it off corners etc. My favorite is killing an enemy at the other side of the fence by making the grenade roll under the fence.

Tried playing with my XIM setup last night.

Still needs some tweaking. It started out really jittery, but I've got it pretty smooth now, it's still a little too slow for my liking. Right now it's pretty slick for sniping and long range, but running and gunning and close range is wonky. Going to play with it some more tonight and see if I can't get it to speed up.

Sorry I haven't been on much, pretty busy with "life". Travel for a month or so starting Sunday, so I'll be completely gone then. And MAG hardlocks every time I "first" boot up a game. Makes it hard to pick up and play knowing that I'm looking at two boots to actually play.

Mine does that too, I get to the "MAG" screen, but there is no "x" button prompt, it just sits there with the music.

Oh, I have a different problem then. About half the time I can't even get to the "join network" screen. Also, MAG is the only game I have that refuses to automatically switch my projector to 720. I just get a black screen and hear the music. I guess I could play by sound...I have to manually turn off 1080 in my display settings every time I play MAG.

I think I killed 12-13 who tried to climb the ladder, 7-8 more who were milling around below, and you can also shoot paratroop snipers who are hanging out on the roof right next to you (they can't shoot in from where they are, but you can shoot out).

Great fun was had by all, and hearing them bytch for 12 minutes about one guy holding them off was funnest of all. They were BITTER. We held C for the last 13-14 minutes of the game to win.

I know that spot as well, sometimes enemies try to use it if they are smart to stop snipers etc. I can usually kill them myself with a grenade launcher. Really, people need to use it more.

That's what I was playing on, their hatred of snipers and a need to come and kill me. After I killed 2-3 guys, it was a constant stream of "kill the sniper", even though I wasn't technically sniping (I racked up a ton of sniper kills though by shooting defenseless guys from the hip 2 feet away on the ladder. Attacking snipers like to get up there to shoot at C, so it worked well to prevent them from doing that too.

Can't tell if that's a shotgun nerf or not, I guess it depends on the actual numbers, i.e. if the decreases are greater than the improvements. I was getting pretty good with that thing too, now I might need to re-learn it.

Unless they swung the nerf hammer hard I don`t think the reduced range will be a real problem, the increased spread on the other hand could be. People complain about the gun being too inconsistent as is; what (little?) popularity it has may dwindle if you`re getting even less damage per shot because of extra spread.

On the bright side if it is a nerf then I found a way to get advanced explosives (plus more) back into my skill set....I think I`d rather keep my shotty though.

Damn, that's true, I was looking at the increased spread as a positive, but it probably just means more assists and less kills. I know people bytch like crazy whenever I shotgun them, so I'm sure enough people complained and had it beat down a bit. I'll definitely keep it for now to see what the changes did to it. Maybe it will be better, I hope, cause I had planned on going back to full shotgun/SMG mode after this sniper thing. Speaking of which

They should nerf the sniper rifles so that every time you pull the trigger, the barrel blows up in your face and you lay burning until the round is over. 200 kills to go...

Directives always gives double exp now. PBC vetted again recently and is already back in the 50s I think. If directives bonus stacks with happy hour it shouldn't be too painful...not that I would argue if you wanted to join up quicker :P

Im level 57 again, within a 2 week period id say, im with piggy on the delete and remake char wagon. Our clan needs more active people the 4 we have now just are not cutting it for me.

Besides, Raven will suck a lot less with these Domination buffs.

Although, the Boat-AAAs still sound kind of suck. :P

Also, LOL @ the Raven whining about the ATAC 2000 getting a slight nerf. What a bunch of idiots...

The free foregrip has already been tested to be more stable than an unmodified Hollis (Tier 1, isn't it?) - and they can always go for a free grenade launcher instead. Not to mention the gun is decent as it is!

I never understand the ATAC whining. That gun (besides LMG spam) is the best gun in the game, bar none.
It has the fire rate of the f90, with greater stopping power and accuracy, and the ability to stick on a 4x sight. When I was using that gun on raven, I was able to counter snipe snipers at long range. I pick it up whenever I can if I'm using AR's. I guess they can't aim or something.

EDIT: MAG IS UP, I'M DLING UPDATE RIGHT NOW :)
