B...b...but the arguement was that Raven sucked and were horrible to play alongside!
My vote is for valour as well. Kp5= awesome sauce.
Com on shark, ONE OF US, ONE OF US!
We got time to debate this we still need to wait for the lower level players to catch up. Don't want another fractured vetting that realy hurt the clan in the past.

I don't mind switching, I've been wanting to change PSN ID anyway.
Well what we are talking about is keeping your psn name the same hitting level 60 and vetting. With happy hour and directives giving you 200% exp should take long to get there.

Apperantly you can reset PSN name without losing your current profile, you just have to call PSN customer service and they can change your "Nick name" on the current email.
(although i havent done this myself its worth a try)

Sonuvabytch. I tried to have my name changed a couple years back, and it was no dice. I ended up just creating a new one...
Well I did my own splitting off on the quest for gold and just finished Valor and started Raven. I would really, really, REALLY suggest against going Valor. Raven is bad currently but not that bad IMHO. Valor was absolute poopycock.
Well, got stuck in Dwarf Fortress for a few days there, bad idea. I'm going to grind today, after I do some chores outside (wash cars, windows, siding, blah).

So I'm half considering sucking it up and installing 3.2.1 and its equally disdainful cousin 3.4.1 and whatever horrors sony has pushed since then and getting back into this game. . .
We are currently sver but for how much longer who knows. The majority of the community has forgotten how to win and it's starting to become annoying. In other news only 693 more sniper kills and I can start using a real weapon again. I'm actualy starting to get to the point where I can pick my shots better, becomming more patient. Would be easier with a full squad of merchs again with you guys at least I don't have to worry about some one not knowing what to do or grabbing a jeep and doing laps around the letters.

I bet you could get a lot of vehicular homicides that way...I'm about halfway to that medal, hmmm. We should do that next time we have a full squad, every merch just go and steal another platoons humvee and drive around the letters, 8 slaughter-trucks keeping the letters free of enemy pedestrians.
Also Mal, I struggled up to about 350 kills with the tier 2 and 3 snipers. I had tried the tier 1 hip fire method before and it didn't work, but I went back to it at about the 350 kill mark. I got used to it pretty quick, my kills per round doubled and the pain (time) was cut in half. Just go tier 1, silencer, foregrip, stock scope and use it like a shotgun. Might work for you, it helped me.

I have one loadout like that it kinda works. But I've found that I tend to have better results using the teir 2 with a bipod and the variable power scope and just counter sniper and pick off runners. Problem with that is depending on the quality of my squadies I get frustrated at the failure and go back to the teir 1 with grip method and get slaughtered.

Yah, understandable. I tended to do better with the traditional sniper/counter snipe method when my squaddies were good, and I mean holding a position and watching my back type of thing. When they were bad I was usually just better off trying to get behind the red dots and hipfire them.
Make sure you knock out those paratroop kills too. I got stuck doing that for about 60 kills past my thousand, pain in the ass. I have noticed I kinda miss the long range diversity I had with the sniper scope. I might need to respec into AR's to get that back, cause getting thrashed from 40 meters away because I have a shotgun is getting less and less fun
MAG “Moves,” Plus Our New Beta Program

If you’re a fan of our massive 256-player first-person shooter, MAG, then today’s news should be of great interest to you.
Truth be told, we have so many tremendous revisions coming to our “ever-changing global war” that it’s almost impossible to tell you about everything we have planned in a single article… but we have to begin somewhere, and we’re starting with PlayStation Move!
That’s right, later this Autumn MAG will offer full compatibility with the PlayStation Move! This added support means that users have another way to experience the most ambitious first-person shooter out there. Pinpoint accuracy and easy access to all of the game’s mechanics ensure that players of any type — be they hardened veterans or new recruits — can enjoy a shooting experience unlike any other.
But PlayStation Move support isn’t all we’re working on. Because our upcoming content is so important to the game and its future, we want your assistance to make sure we get it right! With that notion in mind we’re pleased to announce that, one week from today on August 24, we’re inviting existing MAG owners to take part in the all-new MAG Beta program!
Raven, SVER and Valor chill on Silverback Ridge.
What are you going to play and test, you ask? How about the oft-demanded “Clan Deploy” feature that allows clan leaders to choose any game type and queue up to 128 clan members for matches as a team? Sure, that’s a great start but we’re also bringing in a brand-new Skill tree system that improves how our character customization system works — complete with new skills and new abilities. What’s more is that we’re introducing an in-game economy system that allows users to earn “Credit Points” by completing objectives, finishing missions, and killing enemies. They can then spend those points to purchase new weapons and gear.
MAG Beta testers will also have the opportunity to try out our upcoming DLC game-type, “Escalation,” well before it becomes available. The most frenetic MAG game mode yet, Escalation offers three brand-new faction-neutral maps with never-before-seen environments that pit a total of 96 players from all three PMCs against each other simultaneously. For the first time ever, Raven, Valor and SVER will be on a single map going after the same objectives at the same time. It’s complete insanity and a whole lot of fun, and we can’t wait for you to try it out. As an added bonus, we’re including nine all-new weapons that add even more firepower to your already-sweet arsenal as well.
Radiant Barrens is hot!
That’s not all, of course, as we have plenty of other surprises in store for the new MAG Beta program that we haven’t mentioned yet — like the beta’s ability to support multiple character slots so that players can check out each PMC — but some things are best left for you to discover on your own.
To participate in the new MAG beta, all you have to do is download the client software from the PlayStation Store when it becomes available next week, insert your MAG disc into the PlayStation 3, sign-in to the beta client and… BOOM! You’re good to go. Reminder: You must have the MAG disc in your PS3 in order for the new beta client to work.
Amazingly, today’s announcement only scratches the surface of what’s planned for MAG’s future. That’s why we’re updating the Official MAG Blog constantly over the next few weeks with new and more detailed information of what you can look forward to. We’re even holding a special edition of our popular Zipline Podcast this Friday that will answer your questions about our future plans with special guest, Zipper Game Director Seth Luisi (if you have a question for the podcast, post it here)!
As always, the entire team at Zipper Interactive would like to thank you, our fans, for your feedback, loyalty and enthusiasm. Your continued support is what makes MAG what it is today, and it’s what inspires us to to make it better.
ABSOLUTLEY Abysmal!!!!! Their all a bunch of punk ass Kids, I've completley stopped attempting to be any kind of a leader to these Maggots, the ones where i did attempt at leading them iv been Vote kicked as both SL and PL so thats it im done with them! im gona be a grunt from here on in Valor, oh and im seriously thinking of TKing everyone i can see in the name of S.V.E.R!
Wait, PBC - were you still in Valor or did you jump the gun and vet ahead of us?
Also, I told you so - fuck Valor. :P
Jummped the gun thinking, "Hey i like the guns, ill just have fun until the rest 'O' the guys show up"
WELL ITS NOT FUN AT ALL! I still like the guns though!
Maybe that's the place to knock out those "selfish" medals than. Running dudes over and going solo commando behind enemy lines to take out assets. Wonder if it'd be good to kill transport vehicles as well since they continuously get rolled on acquisition defense, you'd have plenty of targets

If a vet were to happen (which I'm not pushing for because I really don't want to leave anyone behind again) my vote would be for Valor. I'm sorry Shark but my Raven experience was beyond horrible.
I'm still on Raven from when we Vetted. I fukkin hate it. FUKKIN HATE! :x

Those last 10 levels on Raven were brutal, friggin brutal. I almost quit playing, and went stretches of weeks where I couldn't even bring myself to boot up.
Also, that was BEFORE Raven got map rebalancing - and better players decided to move there from SVER.
I've been lurking - waiting for times where more than 2 people were playing the game at once. :P
Yah, but it was really really bad, it would have to be massive change, and I'm not sure I want to play russian roulette hoping that massive change has taken place. I don't think we've had any more problems attacking Raven on Dom since the patch anyways. They have the contract, but in rounds I've played SVER still usually wins. I think the contract is due to more Raven players playing dom because they think it's "fair" now, than them actually being better at it.
Also, thanks for letting us singletons suffer with PUBbies:P I tried to play a round last night, but I locked up on the main screen. I was in queue, but I couldn't do anything except watch the queue numbers go up. I gave up and played something else

Planetside.

Raven's map wasn't my problem, it was the spawn snipers. So very many spawn snipers. On offense (in my experience) Valor was stupid always pushing towers rather than bunkers but at least they pushed. Raven would never cross the red line in numbers.
Admittedly defending on SVER has been made a more enjoyable experience mostly due to the "hidden APC" patch methinks. I'm assuming that also means Raven is pushing harder but that's not saying much :P.
And just a reminder, if you see me on and want to play some multiplayer (MAG, Uncharted, Rock Band, whatever) then send me a ping. To anyone who still actively plays and doesn't already have me on their friend list then send me an invite.
I traded this game off on Goozex a while back, while there were still horrible issues with SVER maps being unbalanced (disarming bombs through doors), and some weapon issues.

Has the game improved since then?
Yup, almost all of the BS is now gone.
As for the Raven improvement - they seem a lot better when facing them, and they must be doing SOMETHING right in Domination, since you don't get any points for a Major Defeat. :P
I think we're just THAT good...since one squad can make all the difference if we hold a letter for long enough...
Anyway, why are people still arguing? We're getting extra character slots in this beta on Tuesday!

Then again, I'd probably enjoy Valor more than SVER. I wanna crack open those OP maps like eggs again (or die trying)!
Worst comes to worst...I hope they get that extra character thing working soon.
