A friend of mine got dumped by a girl he really liked as he was fractionally shorter than her. So when she wore heels she towered above him. It's a weird convention, but it sure does look out of place when you see a couple with the girl being taller.

I had a weird height moment about a month ago. I was walking with my co-teachers to lunch and it suddenly dawned on me that I am WAY taller than all my female co-teachers.
Like a good head above all of them.
These are people I've worked with for at least a year, and I didn't realize I was that much taller until that day.

I'm 5'6 if I'm lucky but I tell everyone 5'7. I will never have a date. Who wants to fight?

Most of my non-white friends in highschool tended on the tiny side. Outside of Ryan's freakishness (6'3", 200+ lbs, but pure Filipino), most of them were under 5'5".
I'm 6'4 and my wife is about 5'8, 5'9 or so. Some day we will make giant babies.
