The no cc facemelter run through heroic stonecore was funny last night. I was the worst PUGesque tank on ozruk, and it kind of cheated us out of the kill twilight trash achievement (they all dissipated when azil landed vs getting to die to our glorious effects)
Note to self: Don't join guilds with people you work with. Drama always follows.
To make a long story short, will be transferring my character back over tonight. Won't be able to raid still due to my bizarre schedule, but just want to at least have a guild of people I can talk to about stuff besides work.
Also for old times sake, "buttsbuttsbutts and clashromp"
Edit: Also may not want to brag too much about the extra maelstroms.
All of the officers are at pax east, but I can safely say that yes you are welcome, and we're not really "short" on anything. We'd like to make another 10 man raid, but we're short bodies for that, with about 12-15 people who are available on any given night. If we did start a 2nd raid, we'd probably need more healers and dps, though.
again, unofficial until the Go's get back, so you probably can't get an invite until sun/mon.
So I have a level 61 Pally sitting around doing nothing on Dark Iron. Looking for that WoW Raiding experience I have known for quite a while. Started REALLY playing when LK came out, so satisfying killing him in a 10m raid. (Jumped for joy, heart pounding ect.)
That is till my horde guild quit leaving me lonely.
Just wondering if paying the 20 dollars (Dunno how much xsfer is) to xsfer is worth it. I have been yearning to play wow for a while now even though I have been cold turkey for a month. Trying to wait for the latest patch to get back into it, but I can't get this damn monkey off my back.
Alliance Pally. But if I do do re roll what do you guys need? I only suggested my pally cause I need to move him anyway, I rolled that guy like forever ago when PA was on Dark Iron doing stuff.
You can play whatever you like, but if you're looking to raid with us we're usually full on hunters, priests, and warriors. Pretty much any of the other classes we can use on a regular basis.

Shamans, mages and druids would be nice.
I'm busy with end of term essays right now so I won't be on much until maybe next week. Hope you guys who went to PAX had a good time and have good luck dealing with that internet dragon problem in my absence.

As someone as already mentioned, its worth rerolling. I re-rolled a couple of days ago just to join these guys and I'm 24 already, you level really fast without even really trying. It's also pretty neat seeing the other side of things (alliance quests, towns etc.) It's like a brand new game...well almost heh.

So, what with exams and papers and other end-of-semester type activities, plus work, plus using what little spare time I have to read the new Rothfuss, I haven't really managed to even log in, much less play. My guess is that I'll be taking a semi-voluntary break until school winds down at the end of April. I have faith in your abilities to find a warm body to fill that fourth-place-DPS slot, and hopefully I'll be able to start raiding again in May.

This is pretty much what I'm doing as well at this point. Winding up school and getting things settled before I dive back into WoW with any regularity.
So I decided I'm going to relapse into my WoW habit, planning on rolling an alliance druid. Any chance I could join you guys. No promises on how quickly I'd level up, but probably pretty quick. Just to experience all that new Cata content from the Ally perspective.
Also, if anyone wants to toss me a RaF, let me know.
Hey, what day do you guys raid on slash times? My current guilds raiding schedule is leaving me sleepless, and last time I went to another guild it was full of assclowns.
Hey, what day do you guys raid on slash times? My current guilds raiding schedule is leaving me sleepless, and last time I went to another guild it was full of assclowns.
Raid times are in the OP. Wednesday 6pm-9pm PST and Sunday 2pm-6pm PST.
If you are looking to avoid ass-clowns, this may not be the guild for you.
I must hold out.....I can't give in just yet. (Waiting for the patch) But hey if I do give in I will probably roll a shammy/mage. I just.....want to experience WoW again, leveling up, killing mans, becoming stronger, getting gear, PVP, talent points. All that jazz. Been cold turkey for 2 months.
EDIT: Are those raid times for a one constant raid? Or are those just times where people should get on and decide what to do then? (Gotta say, I can do the Wed/Sun raid times.)
Hey guys, this is Wiskeyjohn (the only member of the guild who doesn't have an 85). I just hit 64 and started questing in Nagrand. Gotta say, my first trip through Outlands isn't as peachy as I was picturing...
Anyway, I'm chugging along at my own semi-slow pace, but was wondering if Northrend might be a more fun leveling experience when I hit 68. I imagine leveling through the revamped old world zones spoiled me, and Outlands just seems a series of quests requiring me to fly from one end of the zone to the other. Nagrand seems better than HF and Zan, but I'm already itching to reach the snow.
I think my plan at this point is to maintain my leveling and herbing for money, put my enchanting on hold till 85, and ignore factions and such until end game as well. Is this the approach I should take or am I missing out by doing this?
BTW, if any of you have alts in the 60's and want to mess around in the 7-11 EST range, definately let me know. I don't feel like I even know any of you yet. But that's mostly my fault for being Silent McGreenChat in game most of the time.
I hope you are all still holding a DPS spot for me when I hit cap. And I assume you are not.

Assuming you can afford cold weather flight, buy it the second you hit 68, head for the boat to Borean and never look back. My feelings on Outland are well-publicized, it's definitely a downer after going through the Cata-enhanced old world. Northrend's not a ton better but it's relatively short, especially if you can fly. Borean and Dragonblight both have some neat lore going on, and Sholazar has Hemet Nesingwary again.
If you're not cheevo/mount hunting, the only pre-Cata faction to worry about is Stormwind for cheaper flight training.

Those two raid times are for our serious business 10 man progression raiding.

In other news, Mission Cont...err, my company has decided to recall me to Chicago this Thursday so no raiding for me Wednesday. I will be back from my business trip in time for Sunday, however. Provided there are no...complications.
On the road, I mean. Complications on the road. Of course.
I still plan on rolling a character, probably a Worgren Druid, just been really busy, and with being away starting next week for 8 days, not sure if I shouldn't just wait til I get back.

Depends on how quick you burn out on leveling. I've found that if I start a new character, play the hell out of it for a few days and then have to put it on hold for a little, I come back extremely excited to play. Dunno how it works with you.
Playing through the lowbie content again with all the addons I didnt have before is kind of hilarious. Sub 100 dps for everyone, DBM shouting at me for things that can't really affect anyone despite us all being appropriately leveled for the content.
The early dungeons are ridiculously EZ-MODE, like I don't know how I could die other than falling in lava, and i dont even have any heirlooms.
I did roll a Worgren Druid named Boomturkey (my usual name was taken, I'm petitioning for a GM to open it up) but my laptop is really not handling the game well at all. I should have a new one relatively soon though.
I have been hanging around in the PA channel for about a week but no one ever seems to be on when I'm on, which is generally during the day. I rolled a Worgen warrior named Scritch to see the Alliance stuff.

Yeah, our guild has not been the most active recently. If you still want an invite I'll be on for a while, name is Rocterros.
Depending on how fast you level indy, you may be able to meet me next week (should be home next Wednesday I believe, or Thursday) and do some questing together. I rolled a Worgen Druid named Boomturkey. I got a guild invite the other day, just have to be on when someone else is on.
That said, I'm thinking of bringing my 80 Pally over and leveling him up too. Be nice to have with the new CTA system, can go tank/dps and be happy, then go heal/dps with the druid and have all 4 major rolls covered. Not really sure if I want to pay the cost of a faction and server change though.
