    CoreGoon I suppose.

Frostmist if this is you getting your grudge on you are to be grudged yourself!

I thought you would be a little happier..
Frankly I think we should vote out CoreGoon, who will turn up red. Then we should vote out Frostmist for trying to reenact persona phalla. When he also turns up red, we should not at all question my strange accuracy at finding mafia and proclaim myself surpreme network head for the rest of the game.

Or now that its come true....its not the same as the fantasy?

CoreGoon? Seriously, guys? I guess it makes sense with the failed FrostMist wagon, but this reeks of either "ridiculously bad mafia" or "ridiculously complex mafia."

Well, sometimes it's good to run a bold game, as in "being so dumb that you're obviously a villager"; other times, it's good to run a game where you're so helpful and calm that they trust you. AoR_Final, for example, made such a goose of himself in one thread that everyone thought he must be a villager. On the other hand, I tend to be really helpful to the village when I play mafia.

But if the 'Goon is evil, the mafia's pretty damn horrible, and if he's a villager, the mafia is really smart, but I think they're in the FrostMist-proto-wagon in either case. If FrostMist is evil and the 'Goon is a villager, that was a good play.

But I might not know what I'm talking about at all. I don't know. I'm not actually very good at this game when I'm playing vanillager. I'm marginally worse as a seer, and I am a downright terrible vig.

    Yes, vote is closed.

Two players did not vote, nor do I have a replacement for them at present.

I don't want to create a bloodbath this early in the game, so I'll be lenient for today.

    Day 3

"You may address the Consilium, if your findings are of the import you claim."

    "Yes, Hierarch."

The representative of the Mysterium approached the central podium with quiet footsteps.

"It is the belief of all gathered that CoreGoon has been tainted by the Exarchs, and should be brought to death."

The quiet girl was waiting in the back of the gathering when they came for her.

She struggled little, as her attempt at disguise did not avail her in evading their notice.

Nor did she resist when she was set aflame. Strangely, all she did was smile.

Elsewhere, just outside the main building of MIT, a man attempting to share information with any who would listen was struck down in the middle of his speech.

Police on the scene could find no witnesses to confirm had ended Simulacrum's life, nor evidence suggesting a rational explanation.

Death by lightning strike. Stranger things had happened.

Meanwhile, the shadows attempted to claim two others who wandered away from the main gathering.

Only one fell victim to their grasp, and Thorgot was never seen again.

Another saw to it that their other target would go unharmed, and succeeded.

    Results

Thorgot, Consilium Mage, erased by Mafia
    Simulacrum, Consilium Mage, thunderstruck

CoreGoon, Votary of the Throne, mobbed

Vote closes tomorrow at the normal time. Results may also be delayed slightly.
    PMs pending.

Really? I was the 3rd vote for Core, helping starting the bandwagon. You voted for Core after all was lost to save him at the very end of the day. I would say you're more suspicious.

But I like the AoR_Final vote because he was the 3nd vote on the Frost wagon. simulacrum was the 2nd, and core the 1st. Not to mention sim changed his vote at the end. And Megatin comes in 4th.

That should be a good start there.

    AoR_Final

Someone was guarded and saved from death last night. That person must be village aligned, as the OP reads:
-There will be no alternate win conditions. Just the village condition and the mafia condition.

So Frostmist is almost certainly village aligned, assuming he was the one who was saved. The narration describes a failed attempt at a life, ruling out the mafia double killing someone or only using one kill to make a false guard. There just remains the issue that the mafia may have targeted someone else.

I still wish that Frostmist would enlighten us as to how he knew CoreGoon was actually evil on day 2.

I'm happy to be wrong. I would appreciate it if in the future people would provide more justification for their kill requests though. "Hey guys grape vine lol" ain't gonna cut it, and comes across as a hemming and hawing mafia attempt to get the village to waste a day.

I would assume the logic is along the lines of assuming you have pre-knowledge. E.G. that Coregoon was bad, and that AoR was gonna turn up looking bad and perhaps is bad. If you were privy to such knowledge, voting AoR would look good on ones vote record; since just voting CoreGoon so late may put you in the either/or camp.

The caveat to this thinking is that AoR hasn't been proven one way or the other. Also the seemingly "seer" involved makes it a bit odd.

Or this could be some mystical Gumpy thinking to which I have no inclination as to how it works.

If there wasn't something in the narration about the bad guys targetting two people, but only getting one, I would have suggested that perhaps Frostmist was outing a masoned badguy in an attempt to gain the trust of the village.

But they blatantly tried to kill someone who was guarded, and the most obvious guard last night was Frostmist, if you assume that he is village-aligned, right?

I think its a fair conclusion. You could potentially argue that they (the mafia) may go for Kime or Rawkking for placing their suspicions on Coregoon. Though Kime did it with an actual vote as well (early).

But I would guess they went with Frostmist considering the uncertainty of the situation and some village distrust. I would have, a chance to take out a potential head at a point of indecision would be worthwhile.

Yeah, either that or a very lucky villager who passed himself off as a seer. Though for a second I had to think about whether you meant a mafia seer or village seer -_-

Assuming there is only one guard (which is incredibly likely in a mini) the guard should PM whoever he guarded last night and the guarded person should become network head, though of course that person is almost certainly frostmist. This is only really possible as the rules on the OP explicitly rule out neutrals, serial killers, and bus drivers, which could in some way or another affect the legitimacy of this method.

For the sake of honesty, I did not see much merit in the CoreGoon wagon, and my post about myself, Frostmist, and Coregoon being evil was largely a joke, though at the time it seemed plausible but not probable that they were both evil. Kime pretty much deserves credit for this one.

We should not consider FrostMist to be good. While it's likely that's what happened last night, there's too much assuming on our part to reach that conclusion. The guard, however, just got a free seering, essentially. There are no busdrivers (from the OP), so he doesn't have to worry about that. The guard should contact his target and go from there.

Also, since this is a vanilla phalla, do the mafia have abilities besides their kills?

Edit: Gahh Rawkking, you make my post almost worthless....
