You can see on that thread and your thread that the thread title for the index and the thread title on the actual post being different.
edit: it also appears that both our threads were fairly old when the title edits were attempted. Maybe the index titles lock after a while?

I assumed it was a limitation of the forum software, or due to a backup/restore that broke things in the interim.
