Level 12 is like the hell level of PSN Trophy status. So many of my friends are 12. A platinum, gold and copper only got me 5% of the way through. A platinum!
Downloaded Dead Rising Case Zero. but loading/saving is really slow for some reason...
edit: figured out why. just remembered my 120gb elite drive isn't elite at all.
This is happening to me too on my 20gb drive... whenever interaction with saving/loading is required the game sits there for like 10 seconds before actually doing it. I hope that won't be in the final game...
On an achievement note, apparently there is a "fix" out for the DLC for Crackdown 2 but the achievements are still unobtainable for most people.
After much effort and a great deal of particularly venomous swearing on my part, I now have a platinum trophy for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Finishing off grinding out the 'Kill X enemies with Y Power' trophies wasn't really too bad when all was said and done, but the Sith Master runthrough... Oh dear god, the Sith Master runthrough!

I feel your pain, I also completed that game 100% (not counting DLC, basic game only) and Darth Vader is such a pain at Sith Master, he just seems to deflects 90% of your attacks, my strategy was using the advanced version of Lightsaber Throw,
which He doesnt deflect that often.
Finished off the Case Zero achievements on Saturday, along with a ton of Tekken 6 ones. Tekken 6 is surprisingly pretty easy for the points except you actually have to play the horrible scenario mode to get them. I only have 4 achievements left in it but I don't really know if I want to waste the time it's going to take to get them.
Santa, some time in the next few days, if you're still up for Beautiful Katamari, I need the multi player achievements for it.
Definitely. Perhaps we can all arrange a time to do it. As I understand it, rolling in the house for about an hour or so should take care of them all. So depending on Raybies' need, we can crank them out pretty quickly.
After the pain in the ass that was getting the 100% collection, I'm looking for easier tasks as I grind out 200 requests.
Okay. Well, if you need them, I'd be glad to help out next week. But I'd still like to whip them out as quickly as possible so Brainiac, let me know when would be good for you.
Anybody here have Beautiful Katamari and feel like helping out with the online achievements?
If you haven't gotten them, I'm down. I can't remember what they are, so I hope they are not complicated enough to need headset interaction, as mine met with an unfortunate accident a few days ago.

No, they're simple enough. Play 1/10/50 games and get 100/1000 cookies. It would take about an hour or so.

Sittin' under the stud fountain, working on my 100% in Lego SW2. After that are the undefeated achievements, which may not be so bad. During my super story runs, on the vehicle levels I died once or not at all. Unfortunately, that means I'm destined to fuck up in so so many ways when I have to do it "for real".
For the 'people' missions, just pick a ghost character you're comfortable with. For vehicle missions, well, pick a vehicle you're comfortable with. But it generally doesn't matter. Though, I stuck with the Y-Wing for Falcon's Flight and Death Star II (right up until the circle room and escape) since it helped to have extra bombs.
It's the vehicle ones that'll really fuck your couch up.

With any luck it shouldn't be so bad. I'm sure I must've endured worse bullshit in other games. My main problem with the vehicle missions is the kinda sorta finicky controls, many times I wanna barrel roll but loop instead, or barrel roll into a wall instead of flipping around.
The vehicle missions aren't necessarily that hard. But Falcon's Flight and Death Star II are where the aggravation is at. Lots of bullshit 'grinding' around to find bombs to blow shit up. And only four hearts for vehicle health was an idiot design choice. Hoth can be a pain with the last arena battle. The trench run mission is dicey because of the cannons, but those are mostly avoidable. The speeder level is half person, half speeder and as long as you avoid running into shit, it's difficult to die whilst on the speeder.
But Falcon's Flight and Death Star II are where the annoyance factor is amplified. The only good thing to come from LSW2 achievements was Tt learning that individual mission achievements like that sucked balls. As far as I've seen, they haven't done it since.

Only two left, Hoth and Falcon Flight. I had Falcon, and then I managed to run into an asteroid in the short distance out of the field, after that I self-destructed, dying left and right. So tomorrow, I'll finish that damn thing and figure out what next to tackle.
Death Star II only gave me a bit of trouble. I managed to die once in each section except for the beginning star destroyer part. I even died in the escape, getting hung up on one of the center pillars somehow.

Sorry Santa, by the time you sent me the message I was wrapping up a couple of last motorbike races on Burnout and then I was heading to bed...I had stayed up way too late by that point. :P
I'll check sometime either tonight or this weekend, and if you're on, we'll play.
I really want to get those achievements out of the way. :P
No worries. When you messaged me, I was literally getting ready to pull dinner out of the oven. Bad timing all around. I am also keen to get them out of the way.

So. Having finally squashed someone with the Gunner slam, I am now 200/200 for Monday Night Combat!
It also happens to be the first game I've gotten 100% in! Go me! (Normally I've either moved on to a different game or there's at least one 'fuck you' achievement that I can't get).

Finished off Lego Star Wars a few days ago, and, continuing the Star Wars kick, moved on to Force Unleashed. Having fun so far with it, achievements are a little grindy, but at least I'm 1/5 of the way to each of the force kill achievements.

I love TFU, but yea, the achievements were quite grindy.
I'm hoping that TFU2 has a bit less of that and more unique achievements.
From an achievement perspective, TFU does most everything wrong and one thing right (then they fuck that up later).
All the grinding achievements means playing the game again just to grind kills kind of saps the general fun out of it.
The first DLC pack doesn't even add up to 250 points. I can't think of a reason why they couldn't add 30 more points of achievements, can you?
The second DLC pack gives only 125 points instead of the full 250. So that means that, depending on the games you play, your 'max achievement point total' will always end with a five instead of an even zero. (It just bugs me for no real reason.)
The third DLC pack gives no achievement points. What the fuck is that about?
However, it does stack the difficulty achievements whilst playing... And then requires you to play through the first DLC pack four separate times to get them all. What the fuck is that about?
I decided to buy The Ballad of Gay Tony while waiting for Halo: Reach last night. Got to playing it and looked at some of the achievements.
Good god, getting 100% on every mission is going be a massive fucking headache. I thought the achievements for The Lost and the Damned were way too easy but they seem to have gone from 'easy as shit' to 'hard as fuck.'
I can usually get, on average, about 60-70% per mission...

The good news is that each requirement for 100% doesn't need to be done in the same mission playthrough.
I'm waiting for the Writer and then I'll play through both DLC episodes at once.
I'm at 90% in Spiderman:Shattered Dimensions and really enjoyed the game. I don't think I enjoyed it enough to play through every level a third time to get platinum medals and 100% the game, so I'll stay with what I've got :P
I've noticed that a few games I've played recently* that had DLC achievements, had those achievements removed from the list and the maximum displayed total shown on the dashboard. Has anybody else noticed this?
*Mirror's Edge and Saint's Row 2, for the record. Re-booting SR2 didn't add the total back, either.

I wish it would, because I have no intention of buying the dlc for Mirror's Edge (I suck at speedruns) and the extra 250 on my achievement list annoys the heck out of me.
Try booting it up and see if it removes it. Xbox.com (and MGC.net) will still think you have it, but unless it's just a temporary error, the console itself should treat it 'normally'.
