I had my eye on the AC2 remaster Plat, but I completely forgot to kick a guy on the rooftops while doing the flying machine part (fuck that part forever, by the way), and in their effort to preserve everything about the game the way it was, you can't replay chapters, so...it'll be a long time probably before I sit down and get that far into AC2 again

One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong.
I have my easy platinum trophies as well. No shame!
I remember when I had to replay AC1 just because I missed the first conversation with Lucy. I mean, the game practically pushes you into the room making no effort to suggest you can hang about.

I am regretting seeking all achievements in Chronicles of Mystara
Getting all the items is both a bitch and a slog, I am well sick of the game at 90% complete for Mystara and 55% for ToD

Just finished 100% Ape Escape 2. How I have missed this series and it really needs a new entry. It's been way too long since Ape Escape 3.
Currently working on Broken Age. At the same time trying to finally mop up the last couple trophies on Dead or Alive Last Round, Arkham Knight, and Rayman Legends. Doing constant challenges to get that last trophy is going to eventually kill me, I think.

Does the remaster have the missing sequence DLC in it? One of those has a flying segment with a second chance to kick a guy. If I recall correctly, it might even unlock a tower where you can glide whenever you feel like.
Over the break I managed to get every achievement in Trials HD!
I was on a big Trials kick and got a number of achievements in Trials Evolution and Trials Fusion as well. The remaining ones are quite beyond my skill level!

Finally got my platinum trophy for Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time.
I'm slowly working on 100% the entire R&C series.
R&C PS4, Tools of Destruction, and A Crack in Time down. Several more to go.
Got the Shantae platinum last night. Not so bad outside of the first speed-run. Just easy moping up after that. Also knocked out the plats for Telltale Batman (a chore) and Jazzpunk (... interesting?) this weekend.
Not really sure what I'll work on next, but starting on at least playing Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.
As much as I love Shantae I don't think I'll ever get all the Trophies for any of them
I think speed runs are just a shitty way to play any game, especially ones with as many Metroid elements as Shantae

Brainiac 8Don't call me Shirley...Registered Userregular
God, I cannot agree with @UnbreakableVow more. Speed runs are terrible and trophies based around them are crap and I will rarely bother doing them unless I'm in love with the game.
For example I'm going back and forth as to whether I want to do the two Shadow Complex trophies that revolve around speed running the game while getting 100%.
I usually agree as well, but this speed run was easy. Well, one is any % in I want to say 2 hours. I had half an hour to spare and I got more items than necessary.
Apparently this one's speed runs are in general easier than previous games in the series though. Like the 100% one is I think 5 hours and I was close to that on my first blind 100% run. Did it in just over 3h after the quick run.
So, yeah def agree! But this one was pretty easy and, more to the point, enjoyable and not a slog (the 100% speed is sorta a slog but plenty of time).
Edit; er, and on the technical level this shantae doesn't have very many story metroidvania items. The 100% is bottlenecked by the buy items more so.
I remember the Shadow Complex speed runs not being bad but super can't remember for sure. Just remember running across the water and timing a jump that was a pain? I should pick that up again on ps4.
The Nier speed run was actually pretty fun, because if you're the sort of person who wants to get all the Nier cheevs, you're already crazy and know the game back to front.
Got it in Assassin's Creed II, thanks to @shoeboxjeddy for telling me about that DLC, otherwise I would have likely given up on ever getting it
I'm glad they put maps in for all the collectibles in Brotherhood, because finding 100 feathers, even with online maps, still totally sucks!

Yeah. Object collecting, at least in the last two Ezio games, is much simpler. Unfortunately, Ubi went online crazy and put a bunch of multiplayer achievements. So getting all of them requires a lot of grinding and without a dedicated group to play with, might be challenging as the player base for the older games dwindles. Perhaps the PS is more robust? The 360 is definitely not.
I have two achievements left on Brotherhood. One requires that I successfully poison somebody and the other is reach level fifty. And poison doesn't unlock until level twenty (I think). Revelations dropped the level requirement to twenty, but I think I recall that AC3 raised it back up to fifty.
I think going forward, certainly with AC games, I probably just won't get MP achievements. Even accounting for my general, overall disinterest in MP I tend not to play most games until I buy them cheap long after the players have moved on. So group-focused games are harder to deal with. That and other than playing with PA folks, I just never really got into AC multiplayer. 'Fun', but not nearly engaging enough.
they took the multiplayer out of the new ports of the ezio games, so thats nice. i never could be bothered to grind out a zillion ours in multiplayer that i didnt like just to get a few trophies out of it. in any game, really.

So now all that's left is putting up with the fucked up graphics? Small price to pay, I suppose.
Started Force Unleashed 2 today. Gameplay is better than the first one and there are certainly some real epic moments. Too bad we'll never get more out of it.
So far, my favourite achievement is 'Poor Bob'. You lift a Stormtrooper, impale him with your sabers, hit him with lightning, and then throw him into something. I was just fucking around to see how bad I could ruin somebody's day. Turns out: pretty badly.
I loved the Force Unleashed games. Kind of bummed there will be no more of them. Though... maybe... just maybe Disney may try to fill in the gaps with STARKILLER somehow? I haven't seen Rogue One so IDK if that's possible or not /shrug
I've completed over 100 games. I stopped counting.
edit: what if STAR KILLER is Rey's father? rofl... man, the conniptions that would cause.

Other than the fact that all EU stuff was never canon anyway, there is nothing in Rogue One that cancels out anything in TFU. Though, until I finish TFU2 I can't say for certain there.

The EU was canon unless it directly contradicted with the films.
I thought that was the point of Disney negating all of the EU.
It was - Santa is mistaken.
All EU was wink-and-a-nod 'official'. Lucasarts let it happen because there was money to be had and all creators were fully aware that Lucas himself could negate any or all of it if he chose.
It was 'canon' only because they let it be published in the first place. Disney officially made it dis-canon because there is money to be had. And tat makes old EU into AU.
But all that is beyond this thread. Start a GST if you want to debate the legitimacy of any EU content.

Something is "canon" if it's acknowledged officially as part of the series continuity.
