I don't care about what's legitimate. Policy used to be "it's canon unless it contradicts." Now, after the Disney buyout it's "it's canon if we say so."
Day of the Tentacle remastered complete. That brings me up to 40. And I am over halfway with several other games. I may be able to hit 48 by the time I get to my 2 year playstation anniversary which would be awesome. 2 Platinums a month is not sustainable forever but Sony keeps giving away free, easy, short Platinums so who am I to complain?
Edit: I just looked at my psnprofiles stats and I am now over 70% for my completion. I may just try to keep it there, or maybe at 75%. Going much higher then that would probably require me to go back and play some games I have zero interest in.

I think Killer Instinct will be my first 1000 cheevo game on Xbone.
Just finished the plat for Odin Sphere last night. An enjoyable 'turn off your brain and murder everything' game, it really drags in the backend before picking back up in the finale. Playing several different characters is enjoyable, but across the same environs not so much.
Despite some tedious trophies, a good game and fairly easy plat.
I'll probably pick it up for a half hour whenever the mood strikes and just kinda keep plugging away at it, but I was obsessively playing the base game for the past week and that challenge stopped my enthusiasm cold.

So I got the platinum for Arkham Knight, and finished the trophies for most of the dlc, including the horrific car races. The Batmobile just dragged the game down so badly.
I am working on mopping up the last of the community challenge trophies, but I have a feeling they are going to kill me.
Trying to finish the Crime Alley AR challenge with Batman, Robin, and Nightwing without taking any damage is much harder to do than I would have thought. I spent hours on it today with no positive momentum.

Finished King's Quest and got all the trophies last night. The game itself was just ok-ish, but the story was all kinds of charming and full of heart. I don't get emotional during games because I just never have, but I'll say that the ending made me tear up, especially after getting to know all of the characters. The game did very well making you care about what happened to them. I would recommend it to people strictly from a narrative and character perspective. The gameplay itself is full of the Telltale stuff people have come to love or hate.

After getting the platinum in city I was so done with platinuming those games. And then they like quadrupled down on the tedious shit from city in Knight.
I don't remember the plat for Knight being that bad actually, but the further stuff can get hella tedious. That said, I don't mind the batmobile so I'm already an outlier.
Hardest trophy for me was... looks like it's the most uncommon in general, Perform 15 different combat moves in one FreeFlow. I actually enjoyed blitzing through the NG+.
I completed city and asylum and the challenges in city absolutely killed any joy I had for that game. Too many of them with too little variety. I felt like asylum hit the sweet spot between challenging enough that you needed to know the game and tedious enough to piss me off.
City's problems all generally stemmed from a game world that was far too broad. It was pretty cool moving through all those places, but in the long run there was just far too much to do.
That plus the goons on the roof tops with guns made getting around a little harder than strictly necessary. There probably should have been a better middle ground between the relatively small Asylum and the far ranging City.
Went back and gold-scored all the stages in the Rise of the Tomb Raider campaign, apparently there was an achievement at the start of the that didn't trigger for me so I have to play it again, but there's also an achievement for replaying the game on "Extreme Survivor" difficulty that the anniversary patch the "20 Year Celebration" update added, so I gotta play it again. Should be fun doing that and runs of the SP DLC content I passed on before.
Then that would leave me with the score attacks for those, and the endurance mode stuff and I'll have completed this game. But I'm back to 80% completion! Woo. Not counting any new games I get, if I pop 920 achievements I can hit 90% completion. haha...
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
I had to box up the GH4 guiter. The up-strum is definitely janked. So, no more GH3 achievements until I figure a plan to fix it. But it was nice to get a bunch of achievements at the time.

Got my final achievement in XCOM 2 for a full 1350/1350... Probably the hardest game I've ever gotten a 100% on, I've also played the original X-COM, X-COM Apocalypse, XCOM Enemy Unknown, and XCOM Enemy Within. (But not Terror from the Deep.)
Seems very few have gotten all achievements in this game (0.49%), no wonder... Its pretty brutal and unforgiving, even for veterans of the series.
GTA Vice City on the PS4 puts me at 42. My first one of 2017,but not the last. That is my favorite GTA but that was a much worse grind for the platinum then it had to be. At least R* managed to include all of the awesome sound track. I am going to try and power through DOOM over the weekend so I can truthful vote for it in my game of the year vote on the forums.

Both Vice City and San Andreas are now missing tracks for various reasons. The truth is it's only noticeable if it's a song you specifically listen for.
And I don't know about VC, but SA's radio was pretty broken. At least on the 360 re-release. Switching back and forth between channels would also switch songs. And that was far more disappointing that a few favoured songs going missing.

The 360 and PS3 re-releases of SA are ports of the trash mobile version
The PS4 versions of VC and SA are ports of the PS2 version (minus those songs) and thankfully don't have that problem
Just finished up DOOM, which was surprisingly good for an FPS. I am not usually a fan but everyone said such great things about it so I bought the collectors edition and it was worth it. That puts me at 43 and I still have about a month to get 5 more to average 2 Platinums a month for 2 years now. Not bad I think.
So I basically went and screwed myself by picking up DOAX2. Mostly because I need me my lesbian dating sim wrapped in a volleyball shell.
But the achievements are pretty much 'collect everything for each girl'. Which means that after the grinding nightmare that was Rumble Roses XX, I'll be jumping back into that bottomless hell at some point.
Plus side? At least the overall game will be more fun than RRXX.
Fired up Bladestorm: Nightmare to work on wrapping that up. Have to clear the final stage in Nightmare mode with an S-rank. However, it seems that if you burn through the enemy bases (you have to get N many kills and bases) too quickly, the stage script breaks? I don't know what the deal is. I wound up playing the stage on my other Xbox One instead of my One S last night when this happened, but didn't get the S rank because I took too long. So... gotta do it again.
But the guy that I have to kill doesn't spawn in the right spot to keep the stage going on my Xbox One S... So, I roll back to an earlier checkpoint, and he's still in the wrong spot. Then bounce to another earlier save. Annoyed, I restart the entire stage fresh, because I've no clue what moved him or why. Hopefully the guy isn't tied to one of the bases that I'm capping, but it's just blarg.
Also working on wrapping up Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, but that's just weapon level grinding... early S-ranked all the stages on that one.
But once I clear both these Koei games, I can start Attack on Titan, which probably also has both S-Rank all the things and Max out all the weapons achievements too... yay!
Also have a buncha achievements I want to knock out in Gears of War 3 (Spoilers for H-Scroll):

Host a private Horde Match with a party of 5 players on any Horde Command Pack map (any difficulty).
Host a private Beast Match with a party of 5 players on any Horde Command Pack map (any difficulty).

Earned the platinum in Horizon Zero Dawn last night. Amazing game with a trophy collection that really flows well with the natural way to play the game, making it both fun and relatively easy.
For any trophy hunters not already aware there is currently a humble bundle which contains several games with easy and short Platinums. Plus they are pretty good as well.

Ugh. Good luck with those Gears cheevos. Even when the game was launched those were dumb.

Almost done with all of the trophies for King's Quest. I should have episode 5 finished tonight. Episode 4 was stupid and irritating.

If so you should grab My Name is Mayo, which is a dollar, and has an easy Platinum, and all it requires you to do is press X 10,000 times
Haha wow I am getting this on my vita and ps4. No shame!
