So I just got back from a May Day parade in Minneapolis and it was AWESOME.

there are tons more, but i didn't want this post to just be a huge image dump.

I used to be in the marching band in high school, so I've done quite a few parades. We even did a parade at Disney World once!

Parades are awesome ways of celebrating just about everything. It brings a community together under one cause and everyone is happy and rad.

Anyways, have any of you guys been in a parade before?

    The best ones have decent bands marching in them. I loved going to watch the Klondike Days parade in Edmonton because there was normally several marching bands. Last few years I have been going to watch the 4th of July parade in Bothell and only seeing one or two bands always disapoints me.

    There it was Sunday already, with only seven days left in the week to get ready for the next parade. He had no idea where the hours went.     We also have made a team out of it, Sheffield Steelers! Ice Hockey.

    parades are awesome! i love when they throw candy in the crowds, causing a riot.

    i had to march in a few back when i was in high school marching band, and it kinda sucked because that is a lot of sweaty walking.

    but watching parades are boss!

    the best parade i've seen are the cherry blossom parades in dc. they got elephants!

    DragonCon parade and Little 5 points Halloween parade are both must see parades around here.

    I don't remember any cool parades from Michigan... Wake up early to go watch the Thanksgiving day parade downtown? In the cold? Fuck that....
