At least Rockstar tends to put out decent games. I can't remember bringing home any of the GTAs and feeling like I was completely hornswaggled into buying a total coaster.
GTA4 probably didn't deserve any 10/10 reviews, but it was still an exceptional game and I had a lot of fun with it.

I only played Episodes, and while it was great, it really only deserves a 9.4-9.6 .
I won't say it wasn't a total victim of its own hype, and I truly believe that lead a lot of people to be disappointed solely because what they were allowed to believe it was didn't mesh up to what it ended up being. But yeah, I agree, while maybe the scores were pretty over the top, you'd be hard pressed to say it's not at the very least a technically astonishing piece of software.

Speaking of old games, I remember this old west game in an arcade, it was a 3d platformer, and it was a little bit like contra, but I think you could also grab things and throw it at people. I might have to go back to the move theater to see what it is.

Well, unless you want me to go in a specific review, I say 9.5 because, it sums up how I feel about it. I think its a little better then saying "Its great" because that leaves out whats so great about it and how great is it? By saying a number, your going a little more specificly on how you feel about it. It might be confusing, but I think it suffices. Also to mr bubbles, that might be the game, it looks very similar, wonder if I can find a flash version online. thanks.

I intensely miss playing GTA4 with Penn-Arcade people back when it came out. Cops & Robbers games (One For All mode, where the robbers all race to the escape zone) are excellent if you have about 6+ competent players. There were several 12-16 player Cops & Robbers sessions that were just the pinnacle of multiplayer gaming.
But even free play with these guys was fun, if we got in the same screwin'-around mindset.
If you can rob a train, perform a bank heist, or catch bounties with a posse in RRD free play, then I'll be all set.

I know this sounds really wierd, but does anyone remember the Jailbreak mode from CSS? It was my favorite mode of that game, and I would love to see a console version. I could also just try to make it up in freemode, if you could disable weapons and only allow the knife or fists.Guards could go get weapons before the start of match. Go to an area which is closed off, do the regular stuff, way for prisoners to win is to either escape, find some weapons, and come back, or just knife everyone quietly.Oh, also turn off people markers on minimap . With a western theme, that would be awsome :P.
Oh yes including some xclusively unlockable by Social Club members, info this week RT @Heirek Will Red Dead Redemption have cheats like GTA?

I signed up for the Social Club just prior to GTA 4 coming out...it was neat to track your shit, similar to the way Bungie does with Halo (not quite as detailed) and getting some info. I don't remember getting any codes from it or anything, but i'm still signed up so i'm definitely interested in what may come of it.

PA GTAIV was amazing fun.
My fondest memory was all being in a people carrier planning to drive by some folks and get in a police chase, when the driver plunged it into a river after saying "Mummy didn't take her anti depressants today"
Or being in a chopper that got shot to shit and the pilot losing control, with everyone inside going "Woooaaah, nooo. Shit! land! LAND" with a couple of guys bailing out.

I don't think I would use cheats for this. I've used cheats in every GTA besides bully (If you can count it) I'd finnaly like to get my own weapons and gear, because this feels more rpg to me. Unless theres a spawn bear cheat. I would spawn 40 of them, and watch my bear army maul on the good people of armadillo.

I will only use cheats when I have friends over and we are passing the controller between us and messing around.
That's what cheats are there for I think. They're perfect for screwing around. I wouldn't play through the game itself like that though. Would kind of ruin it I think.
The cheats that were missing from GTA4 though were Peds riot and Peds have guns. Those cheats were amazing.
One week from midnight we will finally be playing.
Anyone else going to a midnight launch? Playing from about 12:15 to 2:00am should leave me "fresh" for work that morning at 8:00am.

Theres the nudity, but theres no prostitutes, probaly drunk driving doesnt work since your horse will know what to do, your not exactly a gangster, your actually married. Maybe being pressured by a government agency shows "Rockstar thinks government agencies are evil"? I have no idea besides the nudity what people will be upset about this game.

Ya, I use cheats on two occasions...
1. After I beat the game
2. If my amigos are over and we want unlimited ammo and other cool goodies to massacre everything that moves.
I can't wait to lasso some poor woman around the neck then drag where ever I go.
