The F2000 was never bad, people just didn't like it. It still kills just fine.
nope, always bad.
Even as a steady aim only weapon, still bad.
Learn to feather the trigger. It turns into a headshot machine.
Trust me, I know how to feather a trigger, but even doing so you are still fighting against the gun to get reasonable results, and in most situations it leaves you in a bad place.
Its weird, every now and then I'll come across some guy who has become one-with-the-gun and just destroys everyone with an F2000. I shudder to think of the same guy using a SCAR or FAMAS.

I haven't seen an f2000 used in probably 100 games. And the only time an f2000 is viable is if you are playing against people that you can keep in complete control at all times. Once you get a bit of distance between you and your enemy and you are using an f2000, you will most likely die a majority of the time because of the time it takes to feather that trigger to try not and spaz the gun out.
If I use an f2000 I can get a few kills with it, but once I go up against a competant player I will pretty much be asking to get destroyed, thus ending my streak. It's just such a conditional gun. Any gun can be used with "moderate success" if the conditions are right, but what makes a gun good is it's ability to adapt to different conditions and fill many roles. That is why the AR's are so great, because they can fill the short, middle and long range roles amazingly.
So does anyone use One Man Army for something other than endless noob tubes? I haven't seen it myself.
Edit: Wow. I really did not want to be TOTP.
Seems like itd be useful for switching to an AA class to get the air support out of the sky quickly without having to die and respawn. That being said I've not once used OMA for anything. so.. yeah
This is basically what I was using it for when I had to get the emblem and title for OMA. I would also use it to replace grenades on occasion. I did occasionally use it as a nube-toob refill, but I wasn't use DC so it's not too bad.
The F2000 is one of my 2 ARs that I have mastery for. I actually got the the point where I could just hold down the trigger and compensate for the recoil 90% by just aiming downwards. That thing rips people apart if you can get most of the bullets into their fleshy underbelly.

Had a friend that used it to chain explosives. Two claymors, two C4, a trail of boom ending in a car bomb. It was pretty funny.

You... you can do that? I thought you could only have 2 equipment out total

I agree with the "moderate success" idea.
I will also add that throwing Sleight of Hand on the RPD makes it even better than most AR's for that whole adapting to everything role.

Yes you can, its just two of a particular type of equipment. At least, at the time we stopped playing (About a month ago), you could do this. You can have 2 claymores and 2 c4, but not 3 claymores and 1 c4. It was pretty great when it was the killcam. Also, if you do this (Drop a claymore, throw a c4 in front of it) if it kills someone, it counts as a c4 kill. Good way to get those challenges done if you can't stand the c4. Of course, if that is true, you are a terrible person.

One of my guiltiest Game Winning Kills was was with the F2000 on Salvage. I spotted a dude sneaking along a hallway, and when I reached the door, he popped out and I fired from the hip, killing him in just enough bullets to do the job. It was so casual it was like I was taking out the mail or something.
It is an unwieldy gun, and when I get frustrated I just switch to the AUG or the MG4, but it tears enemies up at close and mid-range. I enjoy the challenge of controlling it.
I love the silenced RPD now. It still kills people so quickly, but I'm very fond of not turning up on enemy radars. Also, I played a bit of TDM this morning and got two match winning kills where I was just blindly spraying a wall. People were not too happy about that, but what do you expect from an LMG? I don't think I'll be using it on HC though, because I'd be racking up those friendly kills like crazy.
I'd use a silenced RPD but the thing looks weird with it. Looks are important.
Know what guns I silence? The M21 and the UMP. Those things look even better with a silencer.

So I was going to take a nap last night and play with you guys, went to sleep at 5:20 PM. Woke up at 6:40, but I thought it was morning so I went back to sleep. Woke up at midnight, noticed my mistake, then went back to sleep.
So I slept for 14 hours, all the way through an afternoon.
Just did my first prestige, one match unlocked the RPD again, and in the second I went 40/20. Not bad, considering it didn't even have a grip, and I was stuck with the default killstreaks.
Sorry for not being on. Lost and all that stuff. Probably will be on early this afternoon, but once 7 hits, I'll be off the grid...
well except for my tv and cable.
You better wear your fuckin' jersey brutle, I tell you what.
So, I just read this totally legit new study done at the University of No Really This is True, that says that the Penguins do better if you guys play MW2 instead of watching the game. Yeah... that's it.

Worked for me with the Colts. Then I watched the Superbowl.

Jersey is sitting in my front seat in the parking lot, as we speak. Just have to decide where I want to watch the game at.
So, FFA is such an great place to farm challenges. In the past few days I've been running around with a silenced UMP (grinding the silencer prestige challenge), semtex, and various perk combinations. I've already finished SP, Bling, and SA. I'm only a handful of kills away from finishing Ninja, not too far away from Scavenger, 70+ miles into Marathon, only need 3 more 'stuck' semtex kills, I've gone from ~300 silencer kills to just under 900, and I just got the Hijacker title this morning after stealing 3 CPs in a single match. As soon as I finish off the silencer challenge, I'll probably ditch the silencer (and SP) and run a SoH/Hardline/Scrambler setup and punch them out fairly quickly, too.
The only problem is that I'm sure all this FFA is murdering what little skills I had developed in the other game modes.
Yeah, I guess you're right. The tiny advantage probably isn't worth enough to use up a perk spot just for that. I guess I'll start on that Hardline grind sooner than I was expecting.
If you are actually grinding your hardline kills, you want to run UVA/CUAV/PRED for 2/3/4 so every life you can get at least 1 or 2 "killstreaks" knocked out.

I'll probably run UAV/CP/Sentry since I don't have the Sentry emblem yet and CP will let me accumulate some of the higher KSs for their challenges too. Although, the 1000 UAV/CUAV emblem is pretty sweet, but I'm like 800 away right now so I'll probably hold off on committing to that grind just yet.
How the heck do people run around with Akimbo? I can't aim worth a shit with it.
Using the perks for steadying hipfire, stopping power, and fast reload help I've found.
Using corners and fairly close range to your advantage also, but sometimes you can accidentally manage a more distant headshot what with the ROF on things like SMGs.

No instant knife kills? That sounds pretty damn awesome. I personally love No-Scoping private matches just to get better at doing it. Also you need josh to pretty much say "F this gamemode" and fire off his javelin.

It's the same problem the M4A1 and Striker have in this. That's the A1 variant from Black Ops pictured.

I know it doesn't need SP, but I thought SP cut the UMP to a 2-shot kill at close range (with or without a silencer).
