i prefer akimbo rafficas with SA. i dont get the same kind of rage from pubs when you use them, i feel more badass because of the 3 shot burst, and they look sweet as hell with a silencer on them. also, a single raffica with RDS is actually a baby M16 in your secondary slot.

The SPAS has become the queen to the king. She's there, and she's the legal partner for all intents and purposes, the one he spends the most time with - but the king's loins cannot be satisfied by an aging, exhausted beauty. He requires new, fertile, fresh maidens of death: the M1014 was the first, and now the Striker is his concubine. The AA-12 and 1887 both have syphilis, so fuck them.
This post makes me seem like a narcissistic asshole, vaguely titling myself as the king.
So thinking of coming back to this after a stint with BC2. What's the consensus on the stimulus pack? Is it worth the $15? Do most people playing online have it?
Another reason I love the lone Ranger (with FMJ): I'd long since resigned myself to not getting All Pro because I'm not a sniper, and it seemed pretty luck-based. Then two guys charge me in the 2nd floor corridor on Karachi, and one shell later - All Pro challenge completed! Suddenly it seemed obvious that shotguns might get that challenge...
On the topic of badass secondaries: I'd forgotten how good the PP2000 is. Just a shame you need Scavenger to make it last.

I run scavenger on all my builds; I just don't see how you can't NOT have it. My only variation is if I'm trying unlock gun parts, I might go bling. But yeah with fast-firing weapons you get what, 2 reloads? As is that's enough?

I used to go Scavenger all the way, until I realised that I don't get enough kills per life to make it worthwhile. You can usually run up a 3/5/7 streak without depleting your primary. Anything else is a bonus.
And the build that uses the PP2000 is this:
EBR and PP2000 both with silencers.
Claymore, Smoke Grenade
Marathon, Stopping Power, Last Stand (because I WILL get that Badger emblem)
That class owns Domination games like no one's business. Depending on the map, it can either defend two points within seconds (Marathon ZOOOOOOOOM) or absolutely lock down one. I got a 13 kill streak almost entirely off of guns, defending C - first the PP, then a scrounged silenced SCAR after the PP ran out, and finally the EBR in desperation. It felt like being a demigod.
I'd never take Marathon off that class, because it'd stop being such an omnipresent force on the battlefield. Try to take one of my points, and I'll be seeing you soon. Real soon.
Just got my badger yesterday. It's pretty awesome, and doesn't take that long. Last Stand, Stopping Power and Magnum secondary on all classes until it's unlocked.

Killstreaks: Pavelow - Chopper Gunner - Tactical Nuke.
Setup: UMP-45 + Silencer, M93 Raffica - Marathron Pro, Cold Blooded Pro- Ninja Pro
I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 for several months now - took a break awhile ago, but have recently decided to play a few more sessions. I usually play HC S&D, but wanted to play FFA and try to get a tactical nuke. It's an interesting challenge, and it's difficult to believe that there are some people out there who makes it look so easy.
Anyways, I was playing on Skidrow, and was neutralizing anyone that was camping around the Spetsnaz spawn. My UMP45 eventually ran out of ammunition, so I had to grab a fellow's AUG HBAR. After I called in my Pavelow, I had to wait for it to clear the airspace before I could call in a chopper gunner. I had a few close calls, but was fortunate enough to survive. Alright, so the Pavelow's left, my anxiety level was quite high, I've decided to call in the chopper gunner. Now that was the hard part.
It was on Skidrow. It's difficult to find anyone about in the open, and anyone with a brain would have enough common sense to get inside the apartments. The Pavelow managed to get me five kills, and I think that I got a bit more with my chopper gunner. Alright, my kill count was nearing its objective, I just had to neutralize a few more players. I knifed one roaming about in the complex, shot one jumping down from a window, shot another one engaged in a firefight, and then I get knifed when I was one kill away from a tactical nuke.

This is so true! At first I was pumped for Crash and Overgrown but the nostalgia worn off. The stimulus pack was worth it in long run but resurgence seems a lot better.

I was aware of the Stimulus Pack with Overgrown and Crash (which make me very happy) and the three new maps. They have a second map pack out as well?

Strike and Vacant from CoD4 and three newer maps as well again.
by all accounts, the new map pack is way better than the first one. and it damn well better be, the only stimulus map i really like is storm. crash is trash, and bailout/overgrown/cant remember the fifth map are very average and built for campers. i want the new map pack! damn you microsoft and your greediness!

Pffft you've invited me once. Although I didn't notice it at all somehow.
So in trying to decide whether it's worth sinking another $15-30 into expansions for this game, I thought I'd take a look at Steam's stats to see how active the community is. There are seriously still more people playing CS:S than there are this game? I can't believe that game is still popular, as it was getting criticized pretty heavily even when it came out.
Kinda, but it still looks like it's Splinter-Cell influenced to me. Still cool, and I'd have used Juggernaut even if it were a hindrance for that armor.

OK, so ACR + Silencer + Lightweight + Marathon + Ninja + Team Deathmatch = lol. Even removing Marathon so I could Bling my red dot sight, was still getting 4-1 kill ratios (and I have a solid .61 kill ratio at the moment). No one expects the guy running around the back.

That had something to do with a cap on the number of playlists due to hardware limitations.
Cage Match at least meant people weren't boosting in my matches, but I don't think I've encountered any boosting in a long time anyway.
On the topic of badass secondaries: I'd forgotten how good the PP2000 is. Just a shame you need Scavenger to make it last.

I remember a match, against a full clan. The only kills I got were from a double kill RPG shot. The rest of the time I died and died and died.
