pretty sure gen 3 starters are a million times better than anything from gen 2. especially swampert. blaziken is kinda lame but eh. better than a weasel with some fire on its back.

Oh good god come on. Swampert is a big ol' poop king sitting on a throne of poop
all drinkin' urine out of a flagon
all leadin' festive songs honoring those that have moved beyond this intestinal coil to spend eternity feasting and shitting in Poophalla
When I don't have Earthquake or Stone Edge, he ain't much of a sweeper. Which reminds me I may want to level the No Guard Machop I got from Safari Zone to replace the one I got from the in-game trade.
Once my mons have some more levels, I'll go back and catch Lugia. He can stall if I need combat healan, or I can just tear shit up with him as a last resort.

Gen IV has the best starters. They're all so useful. There's like...one starter from any of the old gens that still can hang with the big boys.
3.
Charizard ignoring the stealth rock issues, feraligatr who actaually became useful this Gen and Sceptile who lost a sword but gained a Kamehamaeha. Swampert and Blaziken can also hold their own though both are out classed by similar dual types in Gen4.
Venusaur is still the most awesome of all though

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
I'm kinda sad that Swampert was kinda debuffed with the 4th gen pokemon. The first time I used an Electric attack and it didn't work on him, I was  until I found out why. One of those great Pokemon moments for me.

Drapion confused the hell out of me with its typing when I first fought it in Diamond.

Debuffed? It hardly suffered from the transition and electric attacks have never worked against it.

And where can you get Metal Coats so I can get a Scizor to do that shit for me? I think you get one from the SS Aqua...?

I was considering naming Ampharos "Tager" or "Lascannon" (since Plasma Cannon won't fit and Plasma Gun sounds retarded), but meh.
Speaking of which, should I go ahead and just phase Machamp out of my team since Togekiss has Aura Sphere to handle that burden?
I'd ask if I should drop Tentacruel for Starmie's superior sweeping potential, but Toxic Spikes will kick too much E4 butt, methinks.
