I mean seriously. Put in a level editor for single player puzzles or multiplayer maps, have random Wi-fi, friends lists, and single or multi card local multi play?

YES PLEASE!

Well I pointed out in the Infinite Space thread that a similar game set in Naomi Novik's Temeraire (His Majesty's Dragon) universe could be pretty sweet.

I want Konami to re-hire Yoshitaka Murayama to create Suikoden 6, as a sequel in the series (as opposed to the many prequels since Suikoden 3) that completely ignores Suikoden Tierkreis.

    Please?

Having been on a Master of Orion 2 kick the last few weeks, I'd love to see a good DS port, so I could take it with me. The low res screen might be a problem, on the other hand, there's 2 of them.

I've always dreamt of two games I wish I would be made:

A hardcore zombie survival-fpsrpg. Fort Zombie is pretty much what I wanted... except for the crappy engine and execution. Being able to hold up in any house and have AI good enough to be able to challenge you in creative ways, and having to carefully scavenge for supplies, taking care to not attract attention.

The other slighty more original one was a real time fantasy war game where you controlled the general flying above the battlefield among the air units. Being able to give orders to different platoons and jump down to give aid if needed. I guess kinda like what I've heard of Brutal Legend's multiplayer.

And, and Okami 2, and Half Life 2 Ep 3. :x

A RTS where you play with your own units by importing pre-fabricated unit templates into your army. You get an empty chassis for every unit type ("light, fast", "heavy, air") and choose the weapons, armor and equipment, every upgrade costing a specific number of points (more points = more expensive and longer build times ingame). I wouldn't be suprised if someone already did something similar and I just never heard about it. A balance nightmare for sure.

Oh yeah, and a Zombie survival game using this

A proper ocean exploring/treasure-hunting game. Wind Waker + Endless Ocean, but with maps that actually require some thought to follow, and treasures that do something interesting.

A new X-Com game in the style of Valkyria Chronicles.

A new Abomination: The Nemesis Project in the style of Valkyria Chronicles, complete with the original's trademark physics.

A Shin Megami Tensei game with versus multiplayer.

A Sonic game that uses bullet-time, wallrunning, and realistic, Mirror's Edge-style levels.

A Survival Horror game that requires you to use puzzles to defeat enemies. Not stealth, not combat, not running away. Puzzles.

A Death's Head game licensed by Marvel.

A game that uses musical sequences for something other than rhythm action or cutscenes.

    Roguelike 2D GTA.

    A realistic Napoleonic-era sailing sim.

    A new Age of Wonders.

I want a Shadowrun RPG done in the spirit and style of Planescape Torment but with way more choices and non-linear progression.

Edit: For what it's worth, I will both write and design this game if anyone wants to give me money... Please?

I want a game that can be summed up as "Bruce Lee vs. Starship Troopers." It'd be like a dynasty warriors game, but with a much more mobile character and a zoomed in third person view.

Beast fighter: A classic fighting game, but you're a human fighting classic monsters. Round 1 is a Tyrannosaurus Rex and it gets worse from there. Eventually you fight heavyweights like Jörmungandr, the world serpent. Difficulty level determines your starting equipment, like a sword and armor. Or just pants, on hard mode.

Mech fighter: Like beast fighter, but in spaaaaaaace!

Wii Tactics. Basically, Fire Emblem with Miis.

Too violent and probably too complex to ever be made, unfortunately.

Edit: Oh, and Super Mario Sunshine 2.

They are, it's called Okamiden for DS. It's coming out next spring.

I want another Jet Grind Radio, but since Smilebit just wants to make Mario & Sonic at the Olympics JGR is basically dead.

For a while now I've really wanted a superhero game that just throws limitation to the wind and lets you scale up to stupidly-absurd levels of power, with all sorts of absurdly-cataclysmic problems to match. Choose your powers and start off lower-tier stuff like foiling mundane crime or pulling off minor heists, and build your strength up and refine and gain new powers to the point where you're saving the world or the galaxy and just doing badass shit like chucking monsters into space from the ground or ripping through alien invasion fleets at the speed of light or staring down eldritch beings.

A Shadowrun action-RPG like the lovechild of Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown would be glorious

EDIT: And in that sort of vein, a Crackdownish game where you play as a hero from all the old ballads and myths and shit who ascends to demigod status would be pretty cool, too.

A new 2D Metroid and top-down Zelda would be goddamn sweet right about now. OLD IS NEW AGAIN.

I think it would be sweet if a Star Wars game was made in the game format of Oblivion / Fallout 3 (I have no idea what to call that), in terms of thinking outside the box. Any game world put in that format would have my attention immediately.

New Fist of the North Star game, sounds pretty much what you described. Well, God Hand crossed with Dynasty Warriors anyway

I say this everytime one of these threads comes up, but I really want a sequel to Kirby's Dream Course. Such an awesome golf game that really is unique, I've never seen another one like it. Instead we got years of meh Mario Golf games that didn't contain any of the special sauce that made KBD so good.

Starfox game made by people who actually understand concepts like "game universe", and want to beat Starfox 64 in terms of quality and game content rather than muck about with stupid fucking extras that are there to conceal lack of game design expertise.

Strong 2D Mario platformer that is to NSMB Wii what SMB 3 was to the first 2D Mario platformer.

New Mario RPG that isn't streamlined gimmicky bullshit. I liked the fleshed-out, self-aware, rich and characteristic Mushroom Kingdom, and I am not impressed with 2D/3D switching and RPG platforming.

Zelda game that mixes solid RPG elements with arcade playing, like in the old days. None of these quirky ideas about how to move Link around and BS like that. Miyamoto adores such little novelties, I think they are getting mighty stale. It's as if Blizzard decided to focus less on the content and ridiculously addictive rhythm of the Diablo series and instead fetured All-new Revolutionary Accessible Inventive control schemes and such fuckery.

Also, new, awesome Mario Party game plz.

Edit: Hey seconded on Kirby's Dream Course. Right on the money.

Something like this would probably work really well on the DS too with the touch screen and all.

    I loved Kirby's Dream Course.

    A good Iron Man game.

The basic concepts in the Iron Man 2 game are honestly pretty much right on the money. Several distinct suits with various stats, an array of tweaks and weapons that can be equipped before a mission, and so on.

It just needs really good, sandboxy gameplay to make it actually WORK, instead of being a crappy game.

That's the one thing I really, really want that seems like it'll never happen. A damn good Iron Man game.
