All-In-One PC Reliability?

nessinnessin Registered User regular
Has anyone got a All-In-One host that they run constantly? I've got a home server I've had for ages that I'd like to tinker with more, and as I started exploring things to do with it I ran into two problems that would require me to replace some or all of the hardware. At first I was leery since it just didn't seem worth it, but when I saw a cheap (IE, non-Apple) model in one of my local stores I thought I wouldn't be against dropping 400-500 bucks for a new system. The problem with it is I'm wondering how they handle heat and wear running 24/7? For all its faults and limited capacity, I built my current box to last and I don't want to replace it with something that will crap out in a year. (Note: Obviously I wouldn't leave the screen active most of the time)
