I wonder how they picked me. I've never gotten into any of the betas, and I'm not active in LBP anymore. I did preorder LBP2, but they don't know about that.
Man I wish this was out. I have the collector's edition on preorder from Gamestop. I should probably find out what exclusive I'm getting (I hope it's the Gonzo costume I saw).....damn it, apparently it's a suit from the new Tron movie. Ah well. At least you get one of those disk things.
Hey guys, I thought this would be the best place to post it, so here it goes. I got a code for Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves and don't have or have a plan to have move anytime soon. If I do, it'll be most likely after LBP 2. So, if anyone would like the code, please PM me and I'll send it over. I'll try to send it over quickly.
They just pick people in waves from Playstation Plus subscribers and "Supporters of the Game", AKA people who have bought at least some of the DLC. (Which would be easy, even if you don't like Costumes, the MGS and PotC packs added a lot of stuff.) Neither is a guarantee to get in (Says the non-Plus member who's bought entirely too much DLC and didn't get in), but it's how they said they picked 'em.
You're going to go crazy trying to figure out how this was done, aren't you?
Edit: Oh my God that commercial. I need a Kevin Butler sackboy costume now.
it's one of those things where it's so far out of my understanding that I just have to believe that it mainly relies on new tools that I haven't gotten to investigate yet
The furthest I can get is
-emitters
-100 layers glitch
-that new thing that lets you shift between layers
-???

Wandering around those red and grey hallways in the Sackenstein level was the point at which my mouth dropped even further open than it did watching the Starfox level they had out at E3. I didn't think it would happen but it just did and now I'm having trouble eating.

Got into the beta recently and I just started messing around in the editor, after being scared off for a couple of days.
There's sooo many tools, man.
Everything seems at once much more attainable and much less so. Like you can do what you envision, you just don't have a clue how. Yet.
Fairly odd that there's no controllinator tutorial, though. How to get direct control over a sackbot isn't exactly intuitive.
Anyone know if it's possible to change the size of individual limbs of sackbots? Like making him taller and leaner?
So, I found out today that, in LBP1, if you published a level and lost all your saves and stuff to a PS3 death, you can still get your level back! Yay MM!
I'm almost embarrassed by Journey's Fall. Almost, but I still am thinking about re-doing it with all my not-in-the-LBP2-Beta-Time. Maybe.

The closest thing to that is setting 'Silly Head Size' or whatever it's called nowadays on, then scaling the Sackbot up a little. I've got my human-NPC Sackbots set up like that, and it works pretty well! Though I guess you could mess around with those Sackbot bodypart decorations if that isn't enough.

donkey, how much of the thermometer are you using on these levels? Do you have room for more complexity or larger levels, or are you topping out with what we've so far?

Good job as always btw :^:
From what I remember, this is at 50%. But when there's a full plethora of enemies emitted (about maybe 20-25 at the most I think), it easily goes overboard as you might be able to see in the vid when my character punches and nothing comes out or the super screen filling move doesn't activate after having a full bar, on top of slowdown. Generally, it'll show exclamation marks where stuff should have emitted, but not this time for some reason. It'll just be a matter of proper level design from here on out when I start rocking this project in retail. ^^
The only level I've topped out is the Craft Earth Crusaders one. And thanks a lot man!

So, did anyone else miss that the demo of this was out? At least on the Pal store anyway.
Fun demo levels, one normal story one showing off the grappling hook, one showing off the Sack Bots and one that was a bit crappy because I have no friends.
All good fun though. Definitely be picking up the full game.

The Sack Bots one was pretty impressive. I was surprised to see that they actually had some decent control. Everything still feels "floaty" though, but I suppose that's just the standard for these games now, similar to Mario's "floatiness."

I'm quite happy with the floatiness as the levels are designed around it. If the levels were somewhat more akin to Super Meat Boy then I might have a different opinion.

Downloading 78% of 1.14 GB in 27 minutes is forever? I'd love to have that speed. Off PSN, it's typically an hour for 1 gig for me.
CRAP, I forgot its Move only! We bought Move for my son's Christmas present, and I am forbidden from opening it before then!!!

I'm going to go with heavy use of the sequencer and emitters.

I think it helps. I just got a mail about getting into the beta a couple of days ago, but it didn't mention anything about how I got in.

I'm not in the beta, but in some promotional stuff you can definitely see sackbots with varying proportions.
that might have just been promo art or got cut or something though, I don't know
