    The Gargoyles box was opened.


    I assume it's because of international shipping, and they check shit crossing borders, not a big deal, I've got extra lying around.

    That's two left. I'll be asking for this thread to be destickied as unbelievably it will be time for the Winter event in a couple of weeks. This thread will be open to post in however.

    From now on could those with gifts still to sort out please PM me rather than post. If I do not respond, PM my little helper Wildcat.

    Many thanks to all who participated in this Summer event; we had a great turn-out and I am very excited about the forthcoming Winter shenanigans.

    I'm going to suggest that in the future, people's real names are used on their shipping addresses. That would've prevented a couple of issues this time around.

    Ein, the package arrived but it was addressed to Matrias again.

    Furthermore, according to the postman, the sender requested the receiver provide photo ID. They wouldn't let me accept it. :|

    Lesson learned for next time I guess. If you feel it neccesary to include a forum name, do so in quotes inside the real name.

    I'm kind of amused they did the exact same thing after explicitly talking to them, but I'm not angry or in a rush to get this stuff, so no worries.

    Maybe you could have him send to a third party intermediary for you? Like, just someone you know who can receive the package for you? Hopefully by changing the address it will clear up all these postal service shenanigans?

    It's more of a problem of the business Ein ordered from.

    Ein was like, "Hey, wasn't aware a pseudonym would hamper deliveries in Canada. Can you send it to so and so, instead?"

    And then proceeded to send it to Matrias all over again. for extra lols, they specified photo identification presented to the postman be required.



    If it arrives in November, I can happily consider it a Birthday present. :)

    For super fun times, they're sort've giving me the run-around, saying they'll call me back and not doing so and that they're not sure if the package ever got returned to them.

    Sorry Ein, pretty sure that ass-kicking boots are on the "No fly" list. You'll have to check them with your luggage. And with your luck, that means they'll likely wind up in Cambodia or something.

    Technically, I didn't even specificy a name. Ein addressed it to Matrias, and the post office decided the package addressed to Matias must mean Matt Rias (which amuses me).

    What a terrible thing to win :(

    Going on 45 days that my original Santa hasn't logged in, and a month since notification that I'd get a consolation gift. Of course, I do not blame my consolation Santa at all, since its not their fault they had to come up with two gifts. (I'm assuming it was someone who has already contributed, so I am very grateful for their generosity).

    G&T and SE++ have both started their signups. Granted, signups don't take as long here in ODaM (yes, I still call it ODaM, damnit) since we only have 2-3 dozen regular posters signing up.
