My car just bit the dust, and I can no longer do my tech-support house calls. I was looking on craigslist and I found that a website, www.support.com, was hiring techs for remote computer repair. Needless to say I was pretty psyched and submitted a resume. Does anyone know any others I could apply at? Does anyone do this sort of work? Any tips?
I don't know offhand of any sites or companies that hire remote techs, but have you considered getting an app like Citrix's GoTo Assist? I suppose if you do a lot of hands-on type hardware stuff it won't help, but if you're mostly doing software troubleshooting I've found it really handy.
