So after hearing that the Cataclysm Beta Opt in is now available I decided to check my battle.net account (I've been unsubbed for about 6 months or so). Lo and behold my account has been locked? I decide to check my toons through the armory and yep, I've been cleaned. Last login 3 days ago.
I...well I've sent blizzard an email just to be sure nothing has been charged to my credit card. I'm not even sure I want my items back either. It's just so weird. Well at any rate, I changed the password since my other blizzard games (SC, Diablo 2 and WC3) are tied to my battle.net account.
The usual method of them getting passwords are key loggers so I'd make sure you sort that shit ASAP.
People spend money on lots of stupid things, from one perspective or another.
I can't fathom a woman spending $40 to get her nails painted, but that same woman would prolly call me a loony for spending $30 to Faction Change one or two of my toons, or $25 to get a mount on a game that doesn't mean anything in the real world.
I like to download movies, but I'm not going to call someone an idiot because they buy DVD's at full price.
I've seldom heard a better expression in life than "To each their own."
Heh, worst comparison ever. "I like to steal shit, but I'm not going to call people who obey the law idiots."

My cousin's shitty boyfriend actually did call people who obey the law idiots. He pirated all his movies and games and actually used the word peasants or sheep or something for people who didn't. He's a twat.
Doesn't seem like much. When you've capped out your tree's mastery points at 51, though, the numbers look much better, rounding off to about the following:
It was different for the time though wasn't it? It came out back in BC.
Yeah, when everybody was cruising around with the Nether Dragon it was something special. Now with the same dragon available as red, blue, purple, black, bronze, armored version it isn't anymore.
Quick question to the healers, did they change the way you could pre load a hot on a tank before combat starts? Just healed for the first time in a year on my druid and noticed some odd aggro behavior.

You are aware that many people and do "download movies" for a fee, right? It's a lot cheaper than buying the DVD in many cases.

I believe your hot ticks will build threat for you as long as a mob is aggroed to you or your hot target.

Yeah you are going to have to let us know what you expect their behavior to be before we can tell you how it changed.

Warsong Gulch (Call to Arms). I hate WSG, but I just got 13 bars of experience on my level 27 priest for winning. I think I can deal with it for that much experience. I can't wait for Arathi Basin (Call to Arms). I've noticed I'm more of a lightning rod than an actual healer. I can deal with that.

WSG CtA victory is worth about 100k exp in the 70-79 bracket, closer to 200k on your day's first.

Make liberal use of Mind Vision for telling your team where the enemy flag carrier is.
Stepped into a 2v2 arena with a buddy of mine. Resto shaman and MS warrior, we got destroyed, like not even close. His gear needs a lot of work though. So we decided to switch it up, I went ele and we worked on his a gear a little bit. We actually started winning some games, it was damn fun.
I'm sure if as we move up the ladder it is going to get more and more difficult and I know we are going to plateau. We ended up getting about 500rating for the night though so I'm pretty happy about that.
This is the first time in a long time where I'm seriously focusing on PvP and I have to say it isn't nearly as broken as people like to bitch about. Yes there are times when you can't do shit, but other times when you have a really good match, and it comes down to the wire it is such a rush. I haven't had that type of fun in PvE since we killed Ragnaros.
Alliance in my battlegroup is useless at WSG. I played all night and didn't win a single game, but last week we had EotS as CtA and won around 3/4 of the games I played. Blaaaagh.
I think a lot of the horde players on my server save their alt leveling just for the CtA bg's and when we get rolling we really get rolling. My rogue went from mid 30's to mid 40's in what seemed like only a few hours in WSG CtA a few weeks ago. And again last weekend with CtA AV she cleared 60.
I do, last night we had a great game going. There was the idiot DK at first who did the /afk emote and caught people with it. He tried to run the flag, but he runs away from the entire group and into the horde. Dies, gets mad at us then leaves.
The rest of us tough it out and get a cap, they come right back and have this beast of a warrior that just wouldn't go down 1-1 with 10 minutes left. At this point it was looking pretty bleak for us, the same warrior was holding onto the flag again, but we had theirs. The two groups collide in the middle. We somehow burn down the warrior and return the flag. Our carrier was going down fast though, so I ghost wolf up tunderclap to knock him free earthbind totem the horde in place and we are off to the races. I cleanse him and get him healed up as much as possible. 2-1 good guys.
There was bout 5 minutes left at this point so we had 8 stay on D, I got picked off on the way to the flag, but a druid was able to get in and pick it up. Defense was able to kill 2 dudes that tried to get out with the flag before they could leave the room, yay achievement. Druid was looking rough in mid-field, but we took care of the few that were chasing him and we ended up winning 3-1.
Sorry for the wall of text.
TLDR: Alliance pulls out a tough win in WSG, bonus I didn't know it was the call to arms at the time.
AB is really weird on my battlegroup. We either lose by 200-400 points or get a near perfect victory (I was 10 points off getting perfection damn you!)
It's stupid great. I mean usually 2 wins is a level, maybe a 3rd. Most of the people in there too are in it to win it so they can level up faster without having to deal with quests.
I need to look into this pvp leveling thing. You guys make it sound magical.
If you like pvping, it is great. Some people don't like it. I really wish you could be in the queue for a BG and the LFD.
The gear on my rogue is pretty atrocious though. Since I don't do a lot of quests I don't get a lot of upgrades. I think my cloak is from SFK. My ring has defense on it (and attack power!)
Yeah it does sort of ruin your gear because you level pretty fast. I try to keep heirloom gear on any alt I level to help balance it though. Just maybe pick up a couple pieces every few levels from the AH.

These are the really fun and amazing PvP rounds. These are what I love to do in PvP. Sadly, most PvP ends up being a rofflestomp because of arena people or premades just absolutely owning shit. It's sad that all it takes is 2 arena players to absolutely wreck PvP in WSG.

not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me
Yeah, between heirloom pieces, keeping an eye on the AH for suitable greens, and crafted stuff, keeping your alt reasonably geared for their level isn't too hard or expensive. You just have to live with the occasional piece that there just doesn't seem to be an upgrade for every few levels.

Only the strong can help the weak.
I did a couple lvls pvping. As a healer it can be pretty sweet. You find that deck'd out dpser (I had a couple lvl 70 ret pallies decked out in old arena gear in AV) whisper them that you will healbot them and they usually keep you safe.

If it makes you feel any better, my Rogue didn't replace his "of the Bandit" cloak that he got from Deadmines until Outland. No good Rogue cloaks ever dropped or came from quests, and the few that did never really stacked up to that plucky little ilvl 25 cloak.
But if your Rogue's in the 40s, however, you can LFD for a few randoms and hope for a nice Rogue ring from the goodie bags.

Those numbers do look pretty nice. It's nice to see that while you won't have to spend talents on the +crit talents, you'll still get the crit so you don't feel like your crit sucks balls if you get a run of bad luck with getting crit rating gear.
I wonder how much the mastery stat on gear will increase the numbers?

The Albino Drake is a bit, uh, underwhelming...
I mean, it's not like I already don't have 3 other drakes. I was actually hoping for something a bit, I dunno, different. Call me stupid, I guess.
I want to know more PA people on Twitter.

Proto-drakes where it's at.
I hate how they constantly appear to be flying downward.
And now you know why.
