So if what is coming out of the something Awful thread is true. Garrosh is actually turning out to be awesome being like saurfang but with a very large mean streak and everyone is going to hate Wrynn far far more. (Everyone being every other race in the alliance)
Also Stonetalon has a huge amount of fantastic lore for the horde
Unfortunately I do not have access to the SA forums, would you be able to help me out?
All I've seen of Garrosh so far is that he's a huge douche when interacting with the Vol'jin
I have a bronze drake and a blue proto drake but my Argent Hippogryph is orders of magnitude more beautiful than anything save perhaps one of the other hippogryph models. I never use anything else.
I wonder if Deathwing will have a mount like Invincible. If anybody gets to ride Deathwing around, that will make them the baddest mother around.
Oh, and Ashes of Al'ar is still the greatest flying mount of all time. There is nothing cooler than riding a phoenix around, and it's compounded by the insane rarity.

This is the only mount I'm genuinely impressed with when I see someone on it, because I want it so much.

Seriously even bigger bombshells than last time folks.
That Vol'Jin conversation happens in a flashback as a part of a quest. Soon afterwards Garrosh recieves word that Cairne is visiting and requesting an audience. He wants to have a non-lethal duel for the position of war chief since he believes that while Garrosh may be ready someday he is not ready yet to lead the horde. Garrosh is reluctant since he holds Cairne in high regard but is forced to accept. However Magatha Grimtotem has been slowly poisoning Cairne and doing the duel he overexerts himself and gets impaled on Garrosh's axe causing Garrosh to shut down in the realization of what happened. The Grimtotem take over TB claiming the horde has betrayed them and Garrosh has to lead an invasion of Mulgore to recapture it.
The stonetalon line I was referring to ends with Garrosh brutally killing some orcs going old horde on some night elves when they went around murdering their children. ( Specifics may be wrong but its definitely Garrosh doing some legitimate House cleaning.)

Lets Start with the Dwarves. Soon after the Cataclysm King Magni unsure of what course of action to take decides to go to old Ironforge (confirmed open now) and commune with his ancestors despite warnings from the wildhammer saying he is not skilled enough to do it without consequence. He does it anyways and ends up getting turned into stone. His daughter Moira takes over as the only heir giving free reign of Ironforge to the Dark Iron and leading to another dwarf civil war. King Douchenizzle decides to do something about it and besieges Ironforge killing the legitimate heir to the throne and creating a council consisting of a Dark Iron dwarf a Wild hammer dwarf and a Ironforge dwarf to rule over the dwarves ending the Bronzebeard dynasty. The dwarves and gnomes are pissed feeling that Varian overstepped his bounds in meddling with dwarven affairs.
Meanwhile back in Stormwind the park has been a smoking crater for years at the start of the expansion because no one wants to give money/do the work considering what happened with the defias. Trust in Varian is at an all time low due to his meddling with other alliance races as well as the belief that his showboating by hanging the head of Onyxia at the city gate is what made Deathwing attack Stormwind.

This stuff is really interesting.
Rescuing TB from the Grimtotem should win Garrosh some favour and the Stonetalon stuff is a real indication that he is maturing.
A question:
Has there been any word of Saurfang's role in Cataclsym yet?
edit: man there is so many more big things going on within the playable races than probably the rest of the game to date combined, this is all great

Not thinking, I clicked the link and logged in. Took me to another page that asked me to input my secret question and I was like "hmm, that is odd" followed by, "Oh shit". Immediately went to battle.net and changed my password.
Questions are as follow:
1. Is this a scam?
2. Do I need to do anything else to protect my account?
Thanks

I just wish night elves get to do, y'know, something. Anything. They're my favourite race lore wise but damnit if all they've done in WoW is sit on their arses. Hell, Tyrande, the racial leader, doesn't even have any dialogue or quests or anything.
I guess they had a part in the whole Ahn'Qiraj thing, but not all that much, really. Ooh, there was a dragon in Moonglade years ago that they fought, yippee.

But there was lots of ground lost for Garrosh to be honored as well. He is fighting with the Trolls who have retaken Echo Isles and it looks like the Unead and Blood Elves are fortifying thier positions as well. Brill has a huge wall around it now. The greamother of taurens is dead and lays on a pyre when you start a new tauren. The razormanes are also running loose in the newbie Tauren area taking half of it as well as half of barrens. The other part is in conflict as the alliance have taken over parts of it as well. I cant remember the name of the keep but the horde quest where you have to kill the guys in the towers is now a alliance quest hub and they have build forts in southern barrens as well.

If you don't have an authenticator already, I would highly suggest it.
$7 is a pretty cheap 1-time payment for account security, IMO.
Plus you get a pet. And everyone knows pets rule.
I forgot about the Infinite Dragonflight! They should have a mount too. Nothing says "I AM THE BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER YOU'LL EVER MEET" like flying around on a badass black dragon.
Err.. Black dragon swarm? We already have a few black dragon mounts in wotlk -> Onyxia Mount -> black drake. But I agree, an Infinite Dragonflight mount would be sweet.
I wonder if the armor that Deathwing is wearing in his human form will appear in one of T sets.
Edit: My google-fu is weak so here is a screen of the official website:
I wonder if we'll actually get to fight Baron Underbeit or if it'll just be Deathwing.

My guess is we'll be fighting human Deathwing in the 5 man dungeon and dragon Deathwing in the raid.
Despite HoR being a clusterfuck for the average PUG I really enjoyed it as an instance for aesthetic and lore reasons. All the stuff with Arthas, Jaina and Uther was really cool to see and I'd like more (with the option to skip, obviously) instances have that level of story...just maybe not one that is dragged out as long as say, CoS.
I don't really enjoy the instances where the players are interacting with notable NPCs. I know the designers's intent is to elevate the players to the revered status that those NPCs hold, but what's really happening is the NPCs are being dragged down to the slums with the players.
When the NPCs call your average player a "champion" or "hero", they're really just revealing themselves to be idiots. Combine this with the awful AI that some NPCs have (Arthas in Stratholme), and it just ruins the character.
Yeah man, it completely dumps on Sylvanas that she can hold off the Lich King at his most powerful for a good time, but it takes a mere 10/25 of you and your friends to even have a hope of killing him, which is done almost effortlessly by one man when it would've taken you a lot of time.

I don't really get this, we are champions and heroes. It's assumed that our presence in ICC is due to our having won the Argent Tournament, making us champions. Beyond that we've also participated in the deaths of gods, destroying powerful scourge leaders, saving a Loa, rescuing the Ashbringer, defeating the Vry'kul, and a hell of a lot more in Vanilla and TBC. In what way are they slumming it when we've saved the world many times over?

I dunno; for me in situations like that I just ignore all the pleasantries and don't even put myself (or my character) in the shoes of who is actually there.
I view the events of HoR or ICC as an outsider; I'm just watching an epic battle (even if I'm the one mashing the buttons). I don't feel like my character is getting interjected into the lore; I just think of it as the lore is happening, some powerful duders did x thing (i.e. kill arthas) and I'm viewing it.
For example in ICC. In my mind, mostly unconsciously, I only really see for lore purposes what is going on with the major players like Tirion, Wrynn, Muradin, etc as the players and the player "champions" are just the troops. Like you're playing WC3 and the lore guys are the hero characters and the players are just upgraded units from the barracks.
I realize that you're right in blizzards goal here; they want to make it feel like your character is central to what is happening so you're more immersed int he story but that's never been necessary to me. I don't usually put myself in the shoes of main characters in books/movies/games (except sometimes in blank slate games like Fallout, but even then...) and don't feel like my personal participation in the lore events in WoW are really meaningful in that regard.

At least Father Douche redeemed himself for the horde by saving the best character in all of WoW Thrall.

King Douchenizzle not his son.
OK I heard people saying father and son. Varian is decidedly douchey, but Anduin is just a freaking kid. I'm quite glad he is unattackable now.
Thank you sir, this is stuff I need to think on.
I thought we were talking about Garrosh Hellscream
