Really, I'd say that most of the furs that I know play WoW do NOT RP, and most of the RPers I know are NOT furs. And I know a lot of furs who play WoW.
People who are into fur stuff who RP stick to Second Life or Tapestries or something, for the most part. That way that can play as their "fursona".
As for RPers - even the ones who post on sites like Darknest tend to gravitate towards Night Elves, Trolls, and Blood Elves, for some reason. I say this coming from an RP server. And no, I don't RP - in-game or out.
Yeah, putting Worgen into the game will definitely appeal to an anthro-loving audience, but I can guarantee that you're not going to see a huge influx of RP craziness. You may see more people dropping the face in Guild Chat, but that's about it.
Really - random use of the ":3" smiley in chat is how I've outed most of the furs on my server. For some reason it totally flies under the radar of most people, but 9/10 times I've called someone on it, it turns out they're involved.
Also - it has been my experience that "filthy RPers" are more rampant on Horde than Alliance - like, Alliance-side I've seen Bardic Circles and goofiness, while on Horde-side it's more like circlejerks and ERP. Usually in Silvermoon.
I randomly ran into a whole bunch of oldschool Cenarion Circle RPers on a certain imageboard one late night not all that long ago and learned a whole lot I'd have rather not known.

You know what's sad? After all this time, I still don't have the Anzu mount. Ran that place 60 times already. People can pay $25 for their goofy glitterhorse, but I want a REAL mount, dammit. :x

As far as actual e-prestige, the only mounts that matter are that, the Phoenix, and the black Qiraji Tank.

Yes, but neither of those are relevant to MY interests. Okay, maybe the Phoenix, but still.

Ctrl+F5 for great justice. :winky:
I included the feathered raptor on that list. Its hard as hell to get.
This seems as good a time as any to bitch yet again about the pvp mounts
Most people probably would rather use the 50k honor on gear or gems for money. It's a pretty steep price. Sure, if you've already got all the gear and don't need money you can probably spare the 50k no problem, but then again, that's the kind of people they're for, with more honor than use for it.
And really, money-wise, 50k honor is about 500g. That's a fairly steep price for a mount for quite a lot of people.

50k honor is 5 epic gems. On my server, thats 1200-2000 gold.
seriously people my entire life werewolves have been badass. How's everyone get so jaded because of a vast minority of a subculture that you're really only exposed to by digging around some anthro's deviant art (which let's be honest, you know what you're getting into there).
When I think werewolf, I think of a Teen version, or an American version that just happens to be in Paris, or Lon Chaney. There's nothing I don't like about that.
So everyone here can call worgen's the hero for the furry culture and make yiff jokes revealing their own closet fur love, but when it comes down to it the jokes are just cause we're bored and there's no real info on cata.
And The God Damned Lon Chaney Jr. rolls worgen. Or possibly forsaken as he'd probably be a zombie to be alive right now

I want your server's economy. Epic gem cuts go for up to 400 gold? I'm lucky to get 90g for a green/orange/purple epic cut these days, and at best 160 to 170 for the popular red cuts.

Ditto!
Wish it showed Anzu kill count specifically in stats (since I don't bother killing final boss). But I'm also glad it doesn't show the kill count, too, since it's depressing enough not seeing it drop every night.
The worst part though, is I can't stealth it like most people who go after it. :P
(Since most seem to be druids who even bother going after it.)
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

You're exactly right. People going hurr durr Furry Worgens by their own logic should be accusing everybody who plays a Dwarf in WoW of having a fetish for midget porn, because obviously that's the only reason anybody would play one in WoW! If I played Alliance I'd most definitely play a Worgen when they come out, because I think they look cool and Werewolves are badass.
News at 11: It's easy to attain most things in WoW these days, as long as you're willing to invest a small to medium amount of time.
Disruptor hates that a mount that used to require a massive time investment now requires a relatively small one.
This is just how people think about WoW. It doesn't even matter what Anzu, Kael'thas phoenix, the Baron mount, etc. even look like to people. All that matters is that they are rare and you can get something that few other people can get. If they made Anzu available after a 2 week rep grind, there would be like 5 people in all of WoW left who would ride him because they think he looks cool, and everybody else would be killing Murlocs in the new Cata zone for the .01% chance to drop dinglebat windrider.
It's just a mentality that goes with MMOs for most people. It's the same reason people who loved the 'prestige' a full set of epics came with in vanilla are always crying about welfare epics, and how buying epics with badges is horrible. Hell, I remember in TBC people bitched that the last bosses in heroics dropped an epic. It didn't matter that the ilvl was lower than raid gear, they just didn't want people who didn't do 25 mans to have items with a purple fucking name. Playing the game for your own enjoyment and not being better than other people is conducive to a lower stress level. Everybody should try it. =P
Me, I like to get things that are rare, and if I get one I'm excited, but I don't care if they make it easier later on. It was my choice to invest the time to get it in the first place, and there is always some hard to attain mount on the horizon, i.e. Ulduar Drakes, Frostwyrms, etc., etc.

You're right.
Except for for thing.
You included Kael's phoenix.
NO ONE WOULD EVER STOP RIDING KAEL'S PHOENIX
If it was available on the blizzard store it would crash within 2 minutes. If you've never seen it, you have no idea how badass that thing is.
edit: Kinda funny actually, the only phoenix I've seen is owned by a goddamn Tauren.
It's still badass. Even though he looks retarded on it.

Bravo. Bravo.

Which is why I never, ever go to Silvermoon.

That's funny, all those years I roleplayed my Night Elf I never cybered.
Its a generalization. I used to RP, and while I never did, turns out the guild leader of my old guild did, and probably numerous people besides.
All generalizations are inaccurate and stupid.
Ha, you actually made watching 43 seconds of a Lady Gaga video worth it.
What is wrong with that woman?
As far as actual e-prestige, the only mounts that matter are that, the Phoenix, and the black Qiraji Tank.
Granted, there are some factors. Can't get ToC until your gear is good enough &c. (also, doesn't list the ICC heroics.)
Yes, but neither of those are relevant to MY interests. Okay, maybe the Phoenix, but still.

Oh, so you want to hear about it?
They were the reward for reaching Commander/Lt. General Rank. Now they give them out for free.
Thus, there's no reason to ever use them.
They'd been sold for marks for ages now. All that's happened is that one grind has been traded for another.
You underestimate how long I've been bitter about it. :P
That's a few hours of WSG with a premade.
If so, I'm very sorry for you and those who care about you.
No, I hit rank 11 before I burned out horribly.
Honestly, though, I like my wintersaber better. I don't like the armored cats as much.
You did the wintersaber grind too?

Wintersaber isn't that hard. Its not a ladder, you can grind it casually. I never did that as a marathon. Just a few hours a day until I got it.

Err...no. They have an opportunity cost. But given how easy it is to farm 50,000 honor, it might as well be free.
And if you farm the materials for 300 flasks, they're free!

The main tank in the last raiding guild I was in had it. Human paladin.
