    My first "real" introduction to this forum was watching an animated short wherein a Spartan from 300 flossed his bathing suit area with... someone. I think Berk made it but I could be wrong. These are always fantastic.

    yeah see that is why those people are more awesome and win

    the writing can be totally sweet but when you put all the different media together it trumps plain ol' writing

    Here's the thing about forum battles: The unexpected is awesome and "not having a talent" is what pushes you to do something incredible.

    People have done:
    Choose your own adventures
    Claymation
    Puppets
    Live action
    Animation
    *cough* voice work *cough*
    Written songs
    Drawn pictures
    Blown up a fucking blender

    If you want to compete don't talk yourself out of it. Set your mind to actually putting forth something great and knock that shit out of the park.

    With few exceptions, there is no dishonor in competing and losing in these things.

    It's really just the No-Shows that take heat. Just submit something that indicates a certain amount of effort and your contract is fulfilled.

    Believe me, getting to the final rounds is just as much curse as reward.
