Me and a friend attacking with a tank, going 31/3 and 41/7 respectively in K/D.
Even managed to destroy 4 M-COMs in the process.
The best part is seeing the enemy react to us as the game went on; going from the occassional engenier to 'oh god there are rockets everywhere.
I love V-Optic on my tanks.
I'll probably gonna try the Beta Hoz, though i'm not too sure on the game so far.

so can someone explain this gun club nonsense to me? to get into the MoH beta, i have to preorder? and since i own BFBC2, i can preorder MoH and get the code tomorrow? is this right? ea's websites are crazy convoluted.
it's been a while since i posted with any regularity, so i might need some brushing up on the proper etiquette for sending friend invites. i think only one or two people on my (already meager) list play this game, and i am getting sick of being in headsetless squads.
I just played a few hours of the MoH beta. Basically, BC2 and MW2 mixed in together.
- You die and kill faster.
- The two gametypes are a rush-esque mode with one bradley (utility greatly hampered by the terrain) and a TDM with no vehicles.
- It has killstreaks, some of them automatic (like if you get enough points you get a radar centered on you or the entire team gets assorted boosts like flak jackers or FMJ), others are called in by binoculars like mortar and rocket strikes. I haven't seen all of them obviously, so I can't comment on the hellfire missiles or anything like that.
- The shotgun has the range of an actual shotgun, holy shit.
- All of the explosive damage is highly pathetic, especially with the damage bullets do. I'm not sure if it's lag or what, but I haven't managed one explosive kill so far despite having plenty at my disposal.
- I really like the ragdoll death animations, the body just sort of slumps from the position it's in. It's lovely when you're next to a teammate and you hear a *ZIP* and the guy just slumps face first into the ground. That's mainly a headshot death (really easy to get a headshot in this game for some reason, kind of nice), the bodyshot death is standard knock back thing.
One other weird little detail is that, I'm not 100% sure on this, but it seems like the special ops class has a different and faster melee animation. Nice attention to detail.
To get into the MoH beta early you have to pre-order. Early Beta started the 17th iirc.
As a VIP BC2 owner, you get access to the M24 as soon as you start playing MoH.
edit: You also need need to be a VIP BC2 owner to get into the Beta early as well.
What the shit is a VIP BC2?
man fuck allll that shit
You don't have to be in the VIP program. You just have to have bought BC2 first hand. I don't know why they keep throwing around the words VIP. It's incredibly confusing. I never signed up for that stupid program and I'm playing the beta right now.

Too many shooters demanding my money at the moment. I think I'll pass on this game until it releases. But it sounds good from what you said, as I hate explosives (I like how the 40mm usually only weakens groups of opponents rather than killing them).

I don't know, actually. It's even more strange because my medic k/d is only 1.27 or something, while assault and engineer are over 1.5, and recon is 1.8. I guess i used it a lot before it was declared Overpowered...
I haven't used the M60 in months, i'm focussing on getting bronze/silver/gold stars for other weapons.
EDIT: Oh boy, i just realized im going platinum with heavy vehicles :P
The VSS is a cool weapon but it's very situational. You're not going to long range snipe with it, and you're not going to win a 1 on 1 with an assault unless you manage to headshot him quickly. But it's great for medium range sneakiness and headshotting with short bursts. It's too easy to empty the clip on it. I kinda wish it was semi auto. If kill cam is turned off you can wreck enemy teams behind their front lines.
Hell, even with killcam on, most pubscrubs can't be bothered to clear out the rear areas. I was playing defense on Arica Harbor the other day, two squads of attackers were chillaxing behind our spawns and nobody gave a shit.

It's pretty great in any situation if you know how to use it right. My platinum star can attest to this.
As long as this continues we are aiming to release on Wednesday (23rd) of next week. However this is dependant on how fast we can gain approval the patch is compliant with Steam. If that approval does not come quick enough the release will slip to the Monday (28th) of the week after (as it is a red day in Sweden on Friday next week and we don't release patches at the end of working weeks).

All you duders playing Medal of Honor should continue telling us about it. I need to know if I should throw some money at MoH to get into the beta deals.
I mean, its not like any of us are really playing BC2

The VSS, in the right hands, is a terrific weapon. It's really up there with the M14 and G3 as "weapons that work well if you can maintain proper fire control".
Also DICE, seriously, what the hell. You guys are making yourselves look bad, even by normal DICE standards.
So early signs are we fixed the problem by rolling back a change involving SPECACT kits.

This does mean that SPECACT kits will not be available after patching as we had hoped but all other fixes remain as does the ability to play the new modes like Map Pack #3.
Good news, the EA version of the new patch works as expected. Now to pass it over for STEAM testing. Wednesday release is looking good.

I'm thinking that I'll try platinuming the PP2K before moving on to the other assault rifles. It almost feels like the Engineer is the best class, what with it's anti-vehicle and anti-infantry capabilities.

Thanks, will give it a try the next time I can play, which feels like never these days with all the work and home life issues.
I'm not sure what' you're trying to say here, but the VSS is badass in BC2.

I thought the VSS in stalker had the really annoying huge bullet drop thing
kpop appreciation station i also like to tweet some
Sometimes it's super accurate, sometimes it's a spraygun, sometimes it has huge clips, sometimes it has tiny clips..
Like every bullet is lasso'ed by the devil himself. And it's still more useful.
It's an SMG with triple the spread.
I'm with Warcry in that I don't want to pay to do the testing that they should be doing in-house.
Ok thanks. I thought perhaps we got access simply by having BC2.
I mean you can only kill one person before reloading, but at least it has that over the G3 - you can kill one person.

Yeah, the G3 is worse, but...damned by faint praise. The VSS is a G3 with better damage.
