Also, does the slight delay in the Morrowind video bother anyone else? I doubt it does, so why am I asking

does that glitch in morrowind where you steal shit and then drop it still work?
because if you pick something up that you dropped, the game registers it as belonging to you and the guards won't take it. used to do it with that platter in the census office that's worth like 650 ducats.
s'alot o' scrilla.

I just remembered: in Bloodlines, if you talk to the Malkavian thin-blood after getting the astrolite, she has a bunch of fortune teller-like dialog options. the best one is an answer to something along the lines of "How do I win the game?"
The answer?
"It doesn't matter if you win the game, just whether or not you bought it."

I started playing Fable 1 last night, I'm going to play through all of it + Lost Chapters and then Fable 2 and the two DLC packs in preparation for Fable 3 this fall.

I hope Fable 3 is not such a violent disappointing.

I want to do with you
What spring does with the cherry trees.
See, gameplay-wise, Oblivion is far more interesting to me - a lot of the stuff they introduced made much more sense (besides the absurd level scaling and loot scaling)
but setting-wise, it's pretty boring aside from the Shivering Isles
Morrowind has pretty crappy gameplay, but the setting is so amazing I just don't caaare
Most people might already know this, but Cyrodiil is actually supposed to be filled with jungles and mangrove swamps. Where Morrowind was a "bold" setting, they made Oblivion into standard-fantasy-land-no. 322356.

I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
Oh I mean Oblivion gives you a really really beautiful standard-fantasy-land but still... With Morrowind you can see the devs put some thought into Dunmer culture and everyday life. Giant fleas that are steered by stimulating their open nerves!
Maybe the whole jungle/swamp setting was simply too hard to make both good-looking and hardware friendly, who knows.

They were also probably afraid of alienating newcomers to the game, or something. I dunno. Oblivion's still great, and I love it lots, it's just a shame the setting is kinda dull.
If they do Skyrim for the next game (which I'm pretty sure they will be doing), I hope it's a bit more interesting. Although since Nords are basically Scandinavian, it'll at least not be generic western fantasy.
Oh man, if they put some norse mythology type stuff in there? Awesome

The next WoD game is going to be an MMO. So yeah, kiss any hope of a new Bloodlines goodbye.
(aside from the obvious fact that Masquerade is a dead brand)

the next WoD game made by CCP is going to be an MMO (like CCP would make a non-mmo???)
they're still able to license the world of darkness
also i'm pretty sure they still make expansions for some old-wod stuff, like Jyhad

A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.

And Troika is dead. Nothing something I'm completely bitter about, because they sort of brought it on themselves, but we won't see a game quite like Bloodlines without em.

Requiem is pretty boring though. The clans are more archetypes, they don't have nearly as much backstory.
Old Mage was pretty hot but it could very easily get to retarded levels of complication. One reason they never tried to make a Mage game. Programming in the Spheres (I think that is what they were called?) into a format suitable for gameplay would probably only be possible by crippling them and making them the same as spells from any other game world.

I think New Mage could make for an awesome Bloodlines-esque game, but it wouldn't be easy. Maybe a small town where you start out as a new arrival in the Pentacle, and you work with each of your respective Orders from the ground up.
It'd be like a Tremere-only version of Bloodlines. You could also have day to day encounters and possibly try to maintain a normal life, and not cause paradox all over the place with every spell you cast.
(And if you're a Guardian, you'd have to stop it at any opportunity)
only just now learning they have no plans to make a PC port of Fable 2
I mean I'll get it on the 360 when I get the scratch to buy one down the line, but it's still a bit of a shame. The PC controls for the first one at least were way more fun than the x-box ones.

The DLC packs are kind of eh, honestly. Still fun, but really short.
Fable 1 is actually a decent game, it was just horribly marred by the ridiculous promises of Peter Molyneux.
I also really enjoyed Fable 2, also because it did mostly deliver what Molyneux said it would.
Okay, the dog didn't revolutionize games, but still.
I just hope that for Fable 3 they improve the goddamn shitty menus.

I think if we play enough tomorrow I could get enough stuff done to have an update for each day until Thursday, when we'd play again.
