Last monday I placed an order for over $500 worth of products, one of which was a tablet, the only item I really needed to get soon. Over the last week I've waited for the tablet to be shipped out, with it's status in "Charged" for the whole week. Every other item was shipped out, and received within this week.
So today I go on newegg to see if it's been shipped out... nope. That part of the order was voided.
Now here's the bad part. The order was over $500 so that I could get no interest for a year on it using my preferred customer account. So the loss of that item would put it under $500.
So I called customer support to see what was going on. They told me that the item is in stock. Which kinda surprises me, the order was voided out this morning. Why would it be voided out if it was in stock? They had no explanation. So I explained the situation with my preferred account, that I needed this item, and that I still wanted this item, but wanted to make sure I'd still get the no interest for a year if I replaced the order.
They had no guarantee, but told me to replace the order, and then call newegg preferred customer support afterward. So I did. They knew nothing of the order being canceled, but told me to call back after it had and the new order had been charged.
So now I have, and I'm sitting on my hands waiting to see if this damned thing will be shipped out. I needed it last Friday. If I don't get it by this Friday it will be bad. If it cancels out the 12 month without interest... it won't be catastrophic, but it won't be good. Is there anything I can do to make sure these things actually happen. Like, should I call customer support again and bitch and bitch until they guarantee me the damned thing is in stock and is being shipped out at the moment?
I'm really unhappy about this, it just doesn't make much sense. Why void my order claiming it's backordered when it's obviously not?
No I don't.

Edit: And then they undid that. Newegg is being weird right now.
Return everything, full refund. Then order it again a week later. Depends on restocking fees and such though, not sure if it would work out.
Has the benefit of being totally legal as well! Huzzah!
