Jav zons can be extremely good at clearing certain parts of the game, but being lightning based can be a pain in other places. Bow zons can be fun, but are somewhat gear dependant - but of course, you can pick up a Windforce or something for basially pgems.
lightning zons are pretty much the atomic bombs in d2.
yeah ok, lightning immunes are a bitch, jab + merc will sort that out.

My friend and I are trying to do our first uber trist, and after spending about 30 minutes doing meph and making no progress, I've come to beg some help. Game is ubers // wang.
Holy shit the Rogue's bow is terrible, I'm honestly considering socketing it with some fuck-off elemental damage rune/jewel just to make the machine gun firing rate it has useful. Level 31 can't come soon enough for the next special bow I've got tucked away for my up and coming Bowazon, the RIPHOOK.
Also wow leveling is a shit-ton faster then I remembered, my Trapsin is now rocking level 78 and I just got into Act V Hell.
So I have a paper to write that's due today, naturally I decided to trade for a Last Wish to see how a Frenzy Barb stacks up.
Swapped in a Maras for the Seraphs, and my fancy Last Wish. Had to drink a full juv or 2 at Lilith, Izzy and Duriel were easy (I think my left click is messed up or doesn't register all the time, right click frenzy worked better for some reason).
Went to Trist, dragged Meph out and took care of him. I luckily got Baal alone from Diablo, and he didn't spawn a clone, but it was still a pain. Part of it was his health regen, which I thought I had taken care of with open wounds from gores, and the other I'm sure was me left click frenzy while howling. I eventually had to resurrect my Blessed Aim merc which helped with my AR issues. After Baal died, Diablo was easy enough, though I had to howl more often to keep the venom lords away.
So Uber Trist was doable, I'm sure a smiter would've done it much more quicker with auto-hit hacks on, but bleh.
Save it for baal runs when you're leveling beyond 85. I did it without and it was torture. Mind you it's still torture, but the exp bonus will save you more than a few baal runs along the way. Unless you happen to get mobbed by undead soul killers.
Seriously, fuck them.

it's 105 fcr you should be aiming for by the way, not 125 which is the last breakpoint of the pally.
105 fcr is nice but not vital. the servers apparently can't handle tele that fast, but it's nice to kill andy in two seconds.
