Can I get internet on my 360 through my PC?

I am curious about something, can I use my Xbox 360 online by plugging in a LAN cable from my PC to my 360. The PC has a wireless internet connection, so that's where the internet is but can I then "use" that in some way to get access to the internet on my 360? If it's not possible I am not going to be worried and I can always go buy a wireless adapter for my 360.
Incidentally, the router is a *very* long distance away from my room and hence my 360. It's not inherently my router, so I can't move it into my room and such forth. So if this LAN cable trick cannot work then it's off to buying a wireless receiver for my 360.
Edit: My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate.
Connect the 360 to the laptop with a crossover cable. Go into the network folder on the laptop and bridge the two connections.
How do I bridge the two connections? I can't seem to find out how to do that (But I can see the Xbox 360 from my laptop).
Edit: Nevermind, I worked out how to do it because I am a silly goose!
Edit2: A question, does bridging my computer with the Xbox 360 allow other users to access my PC if they are connected to the wireless network as well? Am I introducing a security risk to my computer basically?
No more so than they could before, assuming the connection between your PC and the Xbox is wired. Bridging essentially makes the Xbox think it's getting its Internet from the same place the PC does, and the two devices talk to each other as peers on that network (even though at a lower level the Xbox isn't connected directly to your router). For Internet Connection Sharing, as I understand it, your Xbox knows that it goes to your PC for Internet, but it doesn't see anything past that.

This should do it. I used to run my PS2 like this.
internet connection sharing/ICS= when the PC is plugged into modem
