Went 15-34 SCH in Gusgen Mines over a night and a part of a day. I'm impressed with GoV and pretty much ready to go to Crawler's Nest or Garlaige. Burned out on WoW, glad this game is compelling enough to keep me since pre-WoTG.

The trick is remembering to back them up if you're going inactive for awhile.

huh, I can't say it's ever prompted me for a backup. Even when I created several books for new jobs. Is that an option somewhere you can disable inadvertantly?

Why did no one tell me that Fields of Valor pages can be set to auto-renew now, and without waiting for the next game day for the renewed page to start?

I had no idea they auto-renewed. That must be one of the most recent patch changes but man I don't remember reading about that. That's awesome.

But yeah, it's been that way about being able to do them an unlimited amount of times for ages now. How long has it been since you played? You only get the gil/tab reward once per in-game day though. For Grounds of Valor you can get two "buffs" per in-game day.

Whats your highest level these days anyway?

I keep going back and forth in my head if I want to cancel my XI account for awhile since I haven't logged in since early August-ish. I do want to get PLD up to 95, but that's something I can do in an afternoon. Last time I logged in the LS I was in had moved from Abyssea stuff back to working on Emperian weapons for folks, but I dunno what they're up to these days. It wasn't much of a social LS, outside of their few "runs" a week, it was pretty inactive except the shell holder and her fiance; I think most people had other LS's they were in the rest of the week. But they were generally friendly and would help me out with a lot of things. I wouldn't have gotten a few of my limit breaks without their help.

OK, we have a shell. It is a non-PA linkshell that has agreed to host us on Carbuncle.

Upsides: More than just the minuscule amount of us that play the game.

Downsides: We are the guests here, so make with the playing nice.

If you would like a pearl, I have two on Bri right now that I can hand over. If more people express interest, I can make arrangements to get more pearls.

A new linkshell would be nice, honestly why I havent played very much. I lost the two decent LS I had and am just stuck with a seriously social one with a bunch of stoners I somehow ended up friends with. They dont do much though.

I'm pretty sure I'm on carbuncle, since I think Gilgamesh and it merged at some point. (Which is why I am now glad I took the Gilgamesh last name in FFXIV, because its rare-ified now. Muwahaha.)

Lots of changes to merits coming sounds like, though in typical SE patch note fashion, details are limited. A lot of the stuff is to be expected; but I'm surprised the 99 cap increase should be coming in November.

Dancer is so over powered.

It boils down to this: If I can hit an enemy four times, minus the amount of times the enemies hit me, before needing to use my un-interrupt-able cure dance again than I cannot be killed; and can keep fighting without resting indefinitely.

It doesn't even matter how much damage I do. I can trade punches with a Goblin All. Day. Long.

Had to totally reinstall my PC last night. I have no idea how long its going to take to get around to reinstalling this. I didn't have any real way to backup my steam folder so I'm having to start from scratch with everything and bandwidth is going to be a precious commodity for a few days while I try to get things redownloaded/installed.

While that's some good news. The man power left on this game issue still stands. All that could mean is Last Stand and that "Dungeon Crawl" whatever dealie are the new zones. The fact that WotG had more recycled zones than new ones pretty much tells everything.

Although they need to push out of this Voidwatch content.

The new boss mechanics (the staggers, weaknesses, rages past 15% health or too much time) are nice additions.
