There is a %complete in the stats in the pause menu. Just remember that its not going to be 100% if you dont do everything in the game.

Yeah you can't really use that when you're as early as he is in the game. He still hasn't discovered over half the game's locations, any of the rare weapons, a lot of the gang hideouts, the outfits, etc.

Is there no minimalist % complete to "beat" the game posted yet?

I didn't even talk to the guy. I lasso'd him, hog tied him, threw him on the back of my horse, and then rode off of the cliff at full speed. The sight of Marston, horse, and hogtied dude falling to their deaths made me laugh so hard that I started coughing.

Any way to find out what I still need to do to get 100%? I just finished the game (credits rolled) and I'm at 97.7%. I'll put what I know I'm missing in spoilers
I know I'm missing the Marshal uniform. Do I need to get a ringer in Horseshoe (aka the achievement) too? Or Just win? I think I've won every game if I don't need the ringer.

Played some competetive multi, and I'm pissed. Shotguns should not be able to kill you a mile away. I'm always getting gang banged in FREE FOR ALL. Theres only 5 fucking maps, why no more? Theres like 20 locations you can choose from, and none of the multi maps take place in west elizabeth. theres only 5 fucking game modes (Which is being generous, I'm counting FFa and Team versions of game modes). I'm not saying its completely horrible, but Competetive needs some tuning up , and some good DLC that gives more modes and fixes problems. What about racing? What about Cops and Crooks? The ability to choose which game mode you want and how you want it? I'm almost thinking that theres no reason to play it when free roam is great on its own. They've been working for on this for like 5 years, Gta4 had 2-4. Unless they spent that time on things like animal physics or something that had their attention more then multi. The only excuse is that they didn't have something pre existing to work on besides the Euphoria engine, and everything had to be from scratch. The SP Fucking Awsome, The free roam Very Awsome, the competetive modes mediocre. Im guessing some of it is my fault, such as connection issues, but still.

If it says, "noobishsillygoose has casually killed victimoffailcasualsillygoose", then just hold UP on the D-pad and ridicule them for being casual noobs in front of everyone in the session.

Also, I think I've had more fun creating my own game modes in free roam than any structured matches. It does suck that weapon challenges only apply to structured games though...

So, once you've broken a horse, you can just jump off of it and buy the deed for it later, right?

I just got into Mexico and got this white horse with like black eyes and nose.

But I just can't leave Revenant, my light grey horse. We've been through so much.

Ugh, I think I just had my first annoyance with the story. Regarding the last and 2nd to last missions for the Mexican Dictator (forget his name).
So on the 2nd to last mission I'm there with Capt. Overweighty McEyepatch being set up to die. The whole mission has that npc talking about it. Then all of a sudden on the last mission for the dictator he's there at the end (even though he didn't show at all earlier in the quest) all gung-ho for the government and I have to kill him?

I was totally prepared for him to start some sort of military coup against the dictator after being sent off to die. I was almost sure I was going to end up with a 3 sided war between some military fraction of his, the government, and the rebels.

His end in the story doesn't make any sense. Unless that was some other random fat captain that they happened to give a name to, but I doubt it.

Oh well, other than that I've been loving the story.

You actually get the Kentucky Saddler in the very beginning of the game from Bonnie, something which I'm kind of disappointed about. There's no reason to buy or break another horse. I was looking forward to some form of progression with the horses. :(

I'm with this guy right here. The multiplayer is a step backwards from GTAIV, which launched with 15 different multiplayer modes as opposed to RDR's 7.

Don't get me wrong, best single player experience I've ever had, but I am left feeling that the multi is a bit tacked on.

Haha. I got that horse and went "sweet! An awesome horse."

At this point I had managed to keep that first orangeish horse for nearly five hours, and figured I'd do as well with this one. I decided to go out to Ft. Mercer and hunt some rabbits for the marksman challenge. As I trot down to skin the first rabbit (hey, why waste anything?), I hear a cougar snarl and kill the horse. This was seriously ten minutes after I got it. I could not stop laughing, especially when I accidentally skinned it.

Hmm, speaking of skinning a horse. If you have a horse deed, couldn't you just shoot the horse, skin it, then summon another, repeatedly? Kind of a funny money "cheat" if you have that much patience, as horse parts sell for shit.

You could, but I honestly believe that bears that seem to infinitely spawn in Tall Trees is the most profitable way to get money, aside from being really good at FFF.

Seriously, I kill one bear, and for the next hour, I'm skinning and killing bears constantly.

No one sees the cougar. That's why they're so scary. D:

In all seriousness, you wont see much of them if you stick to the roads and go full gallop. All you'll here is an occasional "rawr!" as you pass by. It's when you're out in the wilderness that you come across them. And of course, they're not in every area.

RDR multiplayer and the people that play is hilarious at times.

I started messing around on multiplayer for the first time tonight on PS3 and am just wandering around and doing challenges and whatnot on my own. And some random posse rolls by and guns me downwhich I'm totally okay with, but then they gun down my donkey. And so naturally, I make it a point to start finding them to gun them down because clearly they wanted to start some trouble.

Me and my donkey go riding around on a ride of death and I start picking them off. Then they start yelling at me about being a douche and killing them when the'yre trying to kill rabbits and stuff. I just laugh and say then why bother starting trouble if you don't want consequences. The great thing is two of them leave their friend to die and ride off without saying anything leaving one for me to kill. And during this time I'm just laughing and shooting them down (and dying as well). I decide to leave that one guy, and say okay I'll go after your friends since they left you to die.

Then they decided to vote kick me en transit to the pair of guys that left their friend. I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. Of course, thanks to them I finally ranked up and got a real horse instead of a donkey. Good times. I only wish there was some kind of epic fast donkey because I find it hilarious riding around on one for some reason. Good times.

I need to get around to adding all the PAers to my friends list. And we can go have a grand ol' time shooting up bandits.
