I know a lot of Bears that use DPS gear in bear form for tanking. Works amazingly well.
All tanks can use DPS gear.
I tank heroics on my warrior in full furious as arms spec using a two-hander. No wipes, no stops, no problem.
Do you have a specific healer that you usually run with? Because for lesser geared healers (like my shaman) that sounds like a nightmare. I have problems healing some "actual" tanks through some of the more damage heavy stuff, much less someone who's spec doesn't focus on mitigation.
With the likely exceptions of heroic HoR and also Tyrannus in heroic PoS, full Furious gear is plenty to two-hand tank with. For the rest, you'd need to throw on a shield and be willing to pop cooldowns often, but it's not a problem. As long as the "tank" knows what he's doing, which in this case he must if he's competently tanking with that gear and that spec, healing shouldn't be too troubling.
I say this as someone with experience healing just such a tank throughout classic, TBC, and WotLK. The healer's gear only begins to matter if the DPS are terrible. This is admittedly pretty common, but you just don't need much healing gear to overcome it as long as the tank knows what he's doing.

Yeah, the day I hit 80 on my priest, I hopped over to Disc and healed a (clever) ret paladin through a heroic.
If I'm on my boomkin or lock in a random heroic, a lot of times there's caster mobs in some of the trash pulls that the tank doesn't pick up very well. Might hit with one tclap burst or something, but that's about it. I always pick out those casters and burst them down. I've yet to find one that can kill me before I can kill it, and I figure that those mobs nuking me is much better than them nuking the healer.
Also most tanks seem to have trouble holding agro on me when I starfall + hurricane a trash pull, but thats ok cause I pop barkskin before I do that, and run right into the trash pull so they don't run all over the fucking place trying to get me.
Although in the last hUP I got the well geared tank was being a real wuss in the gauntlet, so I just ran ahead, pulled all the remaining mobs, barkskin -> starfall -> hurricane, collected 3 spears and dropped(as in got him on the ground.. not solo'd him) skadi before the group even realized what happened
While considerate, the reason they can't hold aggro is by running in you reduce the threat required for you to pull aggro by 30% due to being in melee range, just an FYI. I think many people forgot about that rule.
I have found in heroics that the combined dps of starfall and hurricane always pulls some mobs. So I prefer to run in and keep them all where they need to be. In raids it's never been a problem for me yet, but for some reason it is in 5 mans.

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.
also I cannot stress enough how good getting a piece with a socket in it is if you are a JCer. you can use dragon eye's phenominally early for a gigantic stat boost while getting those last few levels.
I wore a green hat from sixty something to 79 because of gems. It was stat wise the best until a very late quest blue.
There's at least one quest reward in Zangarmarsh that is a helm with 3 gem slots. My rogue was sitting pretty with that one for a long time.
My DK had an axe with three gems slots from some freaking BC dungeon (something in Auchindon). That thing looked awesome and lasted a long time. (Long time for a weapon anyway)
So a friend linked me pics form the alpha in stonetalon:
Horde send a bomb headed for a druid school for kids, you are on a flying mount trying to stop it but dont get to it in time, the area blows up and phases to a big ass crater when the smoke clears.D:D:D:D:D:
After seeing this I went on a low lvl killing spree to let out some rage.
And yes I know Garrosh is supposed to kill the commander who ordered it.

The school was probably sheltering WMD. There will be no excuses.
Me and my girlfriend are blazing a path to 80 using the triple experience thing. It's holy shit fast. Especially since I have 4 heirlooms on. Never levelled a horde before though, so that's a new experience. A little annoyed I keep forgetting to wait till we're next to each other to turn stuff in, but hey, overall far superior levelling experience.

"Not even the younglings survived."
Why the fuck do they have to shoehorn kids into all this crap? Why can't you take up the path of Druidism as an adult with the aid of a wise mentor? Does someone really like the idea of a building full of young little shits being taught the ancient and powerful arts of the Jedi or the Druids or the motherfucking Ninjas? Fuck that shit with a rusty harpoon covered in barbed wire.
I really hope in a patch in Cataclysm we can kill Garrosh I know I will cheer on the allaince as they go to kill him unlike what I currently do
The expansion will end with Varian and Garrosh battling each other alone in deepholme as it collapses around them. Rivers of lava cut them off from escape and they will call out for our aid, but will will look down on them and whisper "no"

One of them will be horribly burned and returns in an upcoming expansion as an infinitely cooler character.

Rescued by the Old Gods, and Xavian will be helping them, and then the Lich King will fight him, and then Malygos' spirit will save the day by possessing 'em and redeeming them, and then become lovers with Thrall and Jaina's lovechild.

I would have also accepted, "DUDE, SPOILER TAG THAT SHIT."
The Grimtotem ally with the Alliance and give them access into the Barrens; they are being hunted down and killed by Garrosh's forces after the fiasco with them and poisoning Cairne, so they choose the good ol' enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Seems out of character for King "BURN KILL MAIM" Wrynn. Or maybe he's just allying with them so he can have a steady supply of free range steaks.

horde's been murderin' grim totem since we was level 15. I can't see why they'd be too upset about the whole 'cairne incident'.
It's unclear if Magatha survives, but her one second in command guy does, as he's the one giving you all the quests. He also has red tattoos sported over a bare-chested body, and his snout is painted in blood red. He says stuff like, "Glory to Magatha!", so it's unclear if she still lives or if's more of an "En Taro Tassadar" thing.
So does anybody have any experience with levelling a character via just power levelling through instances? My wife wants another healer, but neither of us really wants to go through questing 1 to 58 again. I have my Paladin, Warrior, or Warlock I can use to run her through 5 mans, but I don't particularly know the right progression of instances I should use. She'll have to quest up to the teens before I can start running her through RFC, but I'm lost after that. I figure SM from 25 to 40ish, and maybe ZF after that, but I'm not sure about the other level ranges.

You will get sick of certain instances.
If I never see Mara or Sunken again on my priest I'll die happy.

Have you ever done Refer a Friend?
It really really changes the 1-60 leveling experience. It would be 45 bucks for the game and one character transfer.

Use the prot paladin. SOOOOOOOO easy with Sacred Shield.
Quest to level 8 (takes 10 minutes) then do Ragefire Chasm until .. 14ish, then SFK or Wailing Caverns to 20, then SM to 40, then ZF to 45, then Strath to 60. Did my last char with my prot pally in about 17 hours that way 1-60
edit: this is assuming using Refer a Friend. I found WoW Classic on sale for 4.99 each, this occurs often, and bought like 6 boxes. Just refer a new account, stick the classic box on it which gives you 30 days free play time to hit 60, then when you ding 60 transfer the char to your main account. Easymode

This is how I did it while multiboxing, being able to control your other characters may make it easier to do some of the instances I didn't.
10-20 SFK - just dump the alts in the courtyard and clear the place
20-40 SM - go into cath and kill the first mob, because s/he'll aggro on to your alts until they're level 30. I cleared cath in two pulls, make sure to fight in the second courtyard outside the cathedral itself on the second pull (use a pet or ranged skill to hit the main chick then run outside) or the alts at the door don't get any XP. I then did armory in one pull (this will be easy on your paladin if he has ok tank gear) in order to avoid hitting the instance limit if you need to; all of SM is counted as one instance so reset after you've ran both.
40-50 BRD - clear the first area (the mines) and reset, this way I didn't have to move my alts and it took like 12 minutes to clear the area, which is perfect.
50-55 Scholo - BRD started to slow down at 50 so I took to doing near full clears of Scholo.
55-60 Ramparts - I killed everything except the dragon boss because he'd fireball the alts and it was wasting time to run them back to the instance.
So just did my first battlegrounds As a mid-40's prot paladin. Having never done one before do they get harder? My three friends using vent just wreaked the place and capped all 3 flags on Arathi in about 5 min.

GM's appear to actually have taken it back and given it to me. Sometimes they do something useful.
Most people don't know that any looting rules agreed to via in-game chat are binding, and that GMs can and will check that stuff.
