No freaking way. There's a good chunk of Sonic X subtitled up on Hulu. With 4Kids at the helm I never thought I'd be able to see it in it's original form.
4kids is hemmoraging money right now. I doubt they could afford to keep the rights.
It makes me sad, as I was using 4Kids to watch through the 2003 TMNT show, which I never saw when it was actually on tv. Now it's gone.
Such a great series. Nickelodeon owns the rights now, and I'm sure they'll drop it all on DVD again at some point.
I have a bunch of the original released DVDs but only through like the second season.
Yea, I was enjoying the show a whole lot...I think I made it through about half the second season. It was right after the three part secret origins story about the Utroms.
Now I have to find another way to see it...youtube maybe.
I actually watched through the entire series on youtube, and I'm pretty sure it's still there.
There's a lot of new music in those videos too, including the 'act 2' variation of the Sweet Mountain music and Starlight Carnival. The green wisp theme is incredible.
Man, I am digging the hell out of the orchestral version of the main theme that plays on the website. I presume it is the music for the colours attract screen.
You know, we still don't know what that satelite (or the glowing star for that matter) on the map screen is for. Knowing there is 7 zones, we've got the central planet, the 5 chained to it, the train making the full 7, and probably the satelite dish beaming toward the planet as some final boss level.

Holy shit, the hidden path in shown off in that spike power video at 30 seconds in is incredible. I'm pretty shocked if Sonic Colors has THAT level of hidden paths.
And now, let's play a game of 'Spot the Classic Badnik'. This one first appeared in Chemical Plant zone.
His name is Spiny.
Sonic team seems to really be hitting their stride with this game. The extent to which they seem to just get this game's design is staggering. It's in no way like the old games, don't get me wrong, but it reminds me of the level of mastery they had with Sonic 3 & Knuckles. By the time that game came along, everything was so rock solid in place, and the team understood what they had in front of them so well, that it became almost like a test for them to see how they could manipulate the engine before them. The fact that they're designing levels which, when replayed using different powers, opens up multiple different paths, is testament to this.
THIS is what happens when you have a foundation that is solid. It looks like previous games development time was largely devoted to fixing last minute bugs, where as Sonic Colors is being built off of an engine that already had very few bugs to begin with, so most of the time went into making wicked levels.
I've presented this theory many times before, but I'll say it again - I think this is all just a big final test before the 20th anniversary game. I see so many similarities between this game and Sonic 3 & Knuckles in terms of how the use of specific powers alters the level design. I just gotta believe that the pink wisp is a test of what they believe knuckles should play like, and the green is what tails should play like. Coupled with the rumors I've heard about the anniversary game (that it's a collection of levels from previous games remade Sonic Colors style), I just have to believe this is true.
Another thing I appreciate about the game is how many variants on the zone music there seems to be. In the hover video, we hear a sped up, more guitar driven version of the normal Sweet Mountain theme, and the rocket video features a 'remixed' version of the theme. It reminds me of the classics in that way.
Destructoid are going to be streaming a playthrough of the comicon demo saturday evening. Will it be worth tuning in for that? If it is only going to be the same few acts we've seen over and over I'll pass.
I haven't even played this and I can tell it's gonna be way more fun that the entirely overrated Sonic 4.
And dat music...
For a game to be overated a majority of people have to be rate it highly. All people in the Sonic 4 thread are doing is complain that a competent platformer isn't god's only son in video game 4.

Did you miss the part where it was getting 9/10's and perfect scores from reviewers?
I like the BGM music of that website, but it definitely feels like they're cramping on SMG's style and not even trying to hide it anymore.
Sonic 2006 was the first Sonic game that had "epic" orchestral music, and an orchestral version of the main theme. It's been a thing in Sonic games for a while now.
Oh sweet heavens, the music rocks. And the stages look remarkably different. There are more new obstacles and such.
That's crazy. That looks as good as Sonic Unleashed did on the 360 & PS3. I wonder if they could have pulled off Unleashed on the Wii properly with enough development time?
Haha Robotnik you card: "Next stop, Planet Wisp. This attraction is currently off-limits, as it is still under construction, and may not be dangerous enough for visitors yet."
I just reserved the game today at gamestop (and I get a free hat when I pick it up!) and it's a bit sobbering when I realized more than likely this will be the last Wii game I ever get. When I head to BMt in mid-December I'm giving the Wii to my sister and upgrading to a PS3. Hope the game will be a worthy exit title.
Is there any way to prevent from being redirected? I'm in Australia, so it wants to force me on the sega-aus site, but there is no full colours website there,
Also, wtf. This is the uk site, but they spelled it as "colors" in the web address

They're ninja's they can compete with stealth. Which will be important because we're doing it without the license.
The pink wisp (IT CAN SPIN DASH)
The green wisp
Orange wisp

And do you also want tons of new high quality Starlight Carnival screens? Course you do.
Youtube videos and links for everything here, including stuff I didn't mention.

Still haven't seen the purple wisp, btw.

Sega did it, they ACTUALLY did it
They brought back the fucking yellow springs. Holy shit. Not even Sonic 4, the retro-sonic game, had yellow springs.
God DAMN. It's been 16 years since these babies have been seen. Wow.
And dat music...

So basically, before Super Mario Galaxy.

I hate Sonic 3D Blast with a passion, but the soundtrack is dreamy.
Richard Jacques FTW
The Sonic Unleashed Soundtrack was pretty awesome too, besides the Blazing jazz of the werehog levels.

Sonic Team got so sick of hearing about Sonic's "Shitty friends" that we became them.
I wonder if Mii support is limited to MP?
