This game is intruiging. But do I get it for 360, or wait for the PC version?

So Im on the very last level of the light world. Theres a part where I guess you just have to fall and move between a few gears after getting the key and man is it fucking me over. The rest of the level is a breeze, am I missing a trick or am I just not flicking the stick fast enough?

Edit: NEVERMIND I FUCKING BEAT THAT SHIT. WOO.

Buy the PC version 360 times.

Or alternatively, just buy both once each.

I've been on this hard game binge lately. First I beat SMB, and tonight I finally finished VVVVVV. I don't know if it's because I want to improve and become a better gamer, or I just hate myself.

Those two things aren't always mutually exclusive. :P

Also, same here. I beat VVVVVV last week, Battle Kid just arrived in the mail and I'm still waiting on Super Meat Boy to come out on PC. I think I'm good on super hard performers for awhile.

    The Kid unlocked!

The second level is definitely the hardest. I can actually pretty consistently beat the first now, I think.

EDIT: I just got to a minus world...how did I do it? I failed, are these needed for 100%?

When you're doing any level except for the bosses Bandage Girl has a chance to be glitching out. If you grab her you'll go to the minus world. It'll be located before level 1 on the world map. Every world has one, but I don't remember if 7 does. I don't remember it having one, but my mind was so shattered by that world that I may have forgotten.

Ah okay. I got it in 2, and it was the first level I beat using the Kid, so I wasn't sure if that made a difference

Also, the Kid makes a lot of this game so much more bearable. Too bad I can't use him on world 7.

    Teaser of the PC characters:

    http://twitpic.com/36dyit

Apparently all the bandage unlocks are being replaced, some of which are reskins. Sort of disappointing given that almost all the XBLA ones are PC characters too.

I have no clue how this would actually play with a keyboard, though.

Seems like it wouldn't be nearly as fun.

There are decent alternatives out there as well. You could buy an Xbox 360 controller (Mac drivers are out there if you're willing to look for them) or, if you want that smooth retro taste, just buy one of these and snag a SuperNES pad from a thrift store or eBay or something.

Are there any Jumper veterans in here? How does this game measure up?

It definitely scratches the same itch for sadistic hating yourself gameplay. The air control in SMB, though, is much harder to be precise with due to the accelerations and top speeds involved. Once you adjust, though, it's pretty awesome.

Yeah, I've seen that one, but you either need a wired 360 controller or a special adapter for your wireless one

I wonder if it'd be compatible with that Tron wired 360 controller that I want to grab in December

That's... that's the case for the PC as well. Either get a wired controller, or get a wireless adapter.

You can probably find a wired controller pretty cheap. I have a GameStop-branded controller I picked up for about $15 new.

It even has some that MS wouldn't let them have because they were too hard.

Oh. He's one of those "gamers."

Also, UV I just beat VVVVVV yesterday, and I only used the keyboard. The most furstrating moments in the game had nothing to do with the fact that I was using a keyboard. It works a lot better than you'd think, because I know I use to think playing platformers on the PC with the keyboard sounded crazy.

They say that, but I don't believe that's the reason. I find it hard to believe that SMB was going to be a pioneer and be the one arcade game with like 30 achievements and 500 gamerscore. And since when has MS not allowed hard achievements?
