The lettering seems really disjointed and out of place. It's so clean compared to the painterly feel of the rest.

I kind of like the way the lettering doesn't fit the painting style
edit: I like the way it fits the plane of the suitcase, but doesn't look like it's actually written on it. In that way, it kind of feels like an album cover or a concert poster or something, I dunno.

@ Proj: the tweaked one is an improvement I think. I like to imagine that it is fanart for Up in the Air.

    Prox...garish colors, bro

You seem to do the exact same type of scratch marks on every surface I've seen from you, on metal and stone and wood and etc. Those honestly look more like slabs of rock than they do metal, due to the scratches and the fact that the slabs are ridiculously thick.

I think it's blizzcrete (tm), which is the stonelike material EVERYTHING in blizzard games is comprised of.

Thanks ND, I'll figure out a way to use the patented Blizzard diamonds, but not be so monotonous with it. And I can thin out those plates too.

Wak, I agree with Cakemikz....that's fantastic. I'd love to see more stuff like that from you!

And Prox - it's not the diamonds I was commenting on specifically (I understand those are supposed to be super saturated and over-the-top and whatnot)...it was the color scheme as a whole just didn't seem to meld properly...like, the red and the orange and the blue-gray and the green and the yellow, etc. You can make those colors work together on the object, but I don't feel like they do right now.

Another thing that would help the thickness issue would be if the sheets weren't making such large cast shadows (they're soft cast shadows, sure, but they extend really far on the under-plates...and are quite dark). It's just making the shape of the building confusing.

Got it. Smaller shadows, better color harmony.
Also i meant that I would move the diamonds and add different scratches.

Are you planning on cleaning up and coloring the caterpillar in Flash, Iruka? That would make a good portfolio piece as an example of a game-ready asset if you did.

I dont really have flash anymore, its on my now dead hard drive, and my internal drive doesn't have enough space for another adobe program. That situation will be fixed soon, I hope, but for now I'll just be cleaning it up in TV paint.

winter, i like it mate. I think i like the face more in the pencil drawing though, its got more character/ cartoony but dunno why but i seem to feel its more suitable for the theme. The face isnt like anything ive seen you draw before either, it well... doesnt have your bikey sort of grunge style. Good on ya for trying something out of the box

Here is an advert I finished early this week. feedback welcome, i had 3 hours to edit it

Iruka that's looking hot! Really nice walkcycle, though I'll have to agree with Bacon there. The Caterpillar one is just spot on and would make a great port piece!

Also WCK, have you tried messing with the layer options besides multiple and overlay? Try some screening or darken or lighten layers. Explore the program a bit and futz around, and it might strengthen your colouring.
