I played the demo at 4:30am. I Fell asleep at the battleship boss (stage 2?) and woke up at a game over screen with half of the boss dead.
How do you fall asleep while playing a game?

Man I've done that sooooo many times. Final Fantasy XII, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Disgaea, EverQuest etc. I guess it's mostly during RPGs for me, but games can really make you bleary-eyed and tire you out, especially those with a lot of color/motion/action.
Falling asleep in EverQuest is hilarious, especially if you fall asleep during a raid.
Anyone on right now that wants to play? I played through the first few missions on single, and they were fun, but I'm betting this is even better with more than one person.

Mwahaha! Finished Mission Mode & just barely managed to get the 12 minute achievement for Survival (landing me just barely out of the top 100). Boss Rush Mode seems like it'll be fun (tried it once & got to level 8 or so), but it's late so I'll save mastering that for another day.
And seriously, this game is making me want to pick up a Gold membership just so I can play multiplayer. Curse my lack of funds!

... My friend (an RPG freak) tosses a foam ball from one hand to the other while waiting for his turn. Maybe that'll help.
So I finally broke down and picked up a Gold membership card this morning. Just 1 month, but I figured I'd give it a try to see how I like it before I go all out (plus I'm low on funds at the moment though I have an eBay auction that should help fix that). Gears of War & Heavy Weapon had me very tempted and the free (for Gold members) Heavenly Star level for Lumines Live that just came out today was enough to push me over.
So anyway, does anyone want to play multiplayer Heavy Weapon tonight around 10pm California time? I'm a respectable player who tries to conserve nukes - I've managed 12:04 in Survival Mode by myself, have the 12 enemy killed with a single nuke achievement, and have Boss Mode unlocked. If you're interested, my XBox Live name is the same as my Penny Arcade name - RainbowDespair.
EDIT: I had a little time so I just got on a joined a random game. Man, that was a blast. 4 player mode where you lose if everyone dies. We managed to get 22 minutes or so putting us in the top 100. I had the lowest score of the group for the first half, but when things started getting frantic later on and the others started dying, I pulled it up and ended up with 2nd place of our group. Not bad for my first online Heavy Weapon game if I do say so myself.
Oh and I'll be adding some of you guys onto my friends list when I get on tonight and see if we can't get together.
