You can, I actually made this mistake myself when I first set up my CoH account. i'd already had CoV for ages at that point and accidentally made two accounts. Took a quick email to get it all fixed and merged.

so, my first assumption was "my draw distance is too high" and i screwed around with it
but that had no effect
i can't for the life of me figure it out, and systematically going through every possible setting is both time-consuming and not necessarily indicative of the solution (since it might be a combination of two or more graphics settings at different points)
but since the situation in which it happens (wide areas, or the tunnels of the new Praetorian levels) and which it is remedied (looking down at the floor) are really specific, i have hopes that someone might know what the problem is.
Hey guys, is there a lot of stuff for us level 50 ubers? I'm still struggling to make 50 on my warshade after half a decade of trying.
Also how busy is the PA channel? The only reason I would come back is for some of that sweet Harshlanguage action.
There's also the Tips system, which is used to change your morality or to 'reaffirm' your morality and get Alignment Merits for purples and pvp IOs and stuff like that.

For me it's AA.
Straight up. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I gave up on turning on AA because if it's at 0 the game runs flawlessly. If I turn it up to even 2 everything goes to complete shit. I even bumped the res up to 1920x1200 to account for jaggies and it still runs silky smooth (in Pratorea or whatever anyway).
EDIT: And Depth of Field is a biggie too. I can currently leave it on but I think, unless they've been optimised, that there are some pre GR zones that I'll have to turn it back down for (or go back to 1680x1050)
AA in any game with a reasonable drawing distance causes my input to lag. The framerate remains the same, but the game just feels like it's lagging half a second behind my mouse.
Luckily at 1920x1200 you don't really need AA.
[edit] Wait, the GR zones actually run better than some of the older zones? That's pretty cool, I was worried it'd be CoV again, where things fell down from Silly Smooth Blueside Framerates to chuggachug of Mercy.
I can usually bump AA up to 4x in pretty much any game I'm running at 1680x1250 without any noticeable performance difference. But this one I dunno. Something about the mix of settings combined with the AA just flat out doesn't work on my system, even if I turn view distance all the way to minimum (50/30), I get zero performance increase if AA is on.
It's not a big deal really in the end, once I figured out to pretend the AA setting just wasn't there. But again, it's just this game. I can't think of any other game I have currently that I can't use at least bare 2x/4x AA if the game even has the option for it. And I don't like to force it in the drivers, results aren't always nice.
CoX is terrible with ATI cards. It runs at half the speed of an equivalent nVidia card and half the fancy effects are broken or don't work. True fact, I switched back to nVidia because of CoX. Was tired of how shit it ran after I upgraded my machine.

If you're using the new ultra mode effects, ambient occlusion is pretty intensive on the GPU as well; to maintain 60+ fps I have to drop it to balanced. Still looks fairly decent though.

Hey all just a heads up, I've posted this over on the official forums and the normal raid leaders are behind testing this. I know we have some raiders so figured there may be some interest.
We're looking to do a villain Hamidon raid immediately after the Hero side raids on Saturday. The goal is to test how the rewards are handled if someone goes to both raids on a Vigilante or a Rogue.
Basically we want to see if the reward timer is the same for the blue and red side hami raid or separate.
When: Saturday August 21st @ 6:30 PM EST 5:30 CST Where: The Abyss What: HAMI TIME!
Note: The hero raid starts at 5:00 EST. So we'll be following the two hero raids that typically happen.

I put in the invite back key and it's asking me to pay; but I don't want to pay because I have this free month.
But I think if I put in the GR serial into my account it won't let me do the invite back code.

One of the veteran rewards is a over the shoulder cape, and if you get the magic booster you get some capes you can use at level 1.
It's a raid you can take 3 groups into, so everyone can get involved.

and i am finishing a story arc, and the guy i have to defeat to finish it? prior to being able to attack him, he's clickable, like a contact
it opens a dialogue window, where he basically offers me a bribe to let him walk away.
i chose not to, because the dude was playing was a straight-up kool-aid drinkin' loyalist, so i took him down
but then i just realized
i made a choice in a MMORPG based on how i wanted to roleplay
this is fucking amazing to me. i mean, this shit is old hat for single-player RPGs but to see a MMORPG do it is quite a thing!
